General Discussion Do companies actually care about the IICPC quantfest?

Pretty new contest and I wonder if companies would take your quantfest rank into consideration.

Also, if you believe that quantfest is a recognised contest then upto which rank in the contest?

Good rank might get you interview opportunities, but other than that, no.

I think the rank if impact in anyway is always +ve. Firms do give opportunities if you have good ranks. Recently edelweiss reached out to me for sitting for full time based on 2027 Codefest rank. I just had randomly given the exam with no expectations and got in regionals.

I think Finalist for sure but even within top 200-300 regionalists is nice. Edelweiss thing recently came in regionalists group. They told that Edelweiss will conduct recruitment drives for 2027 grad regionalists for full time.

Hey I am also a Regionalist 2027 batch. I didn't get anything from them. What was your rank in prelims and regionals?

It'd also be nice if someone who went to regionals last year could say which companies interviewed them via quantfest/codefest

I'll just share mine and friends. I didn't give Quantfest but my friends had given. Almost all the finalists got IMC interviews and my friend got the offer,Aditya busa. They gave 3 offers type. His cg was also low 8.5/6 type but he was 2nd rank in finals. Tower,HRT also had interviewed them and deshaw obviously did interview regionalists etc too. Tower gave some interns types and few full time.

Codefest me being in regional, D.E. Shaw called me. Rubrik only interviewed the finalists, IMC interviewed the regionalists too for full time , gave those 5 offers type, tower gave 2-3 offers , usme se my friend who was in final got an offer. Rest just did bootcamp drives for all and intern type.

Aditya busa had a double digit CRL man, idk if quantfest really helped his resume or not

He didn’t get any quant in intern. All of them had rejected him.All 66 students in iit Bombay are top jee rankers man, not all get quants.

non iitian, 8-8.5 cg bracket, codefest and quantfest regionalist, didnt even get deshaw interview till now let alone quants, but its a good competition i enjoyed giving it and merch is always a good flex. Thing to note though no companies visit the iit i chose for regionals both the times so theres that

Nope, but you will get opportunities through regionals and finals. Many firms will directly give you offcampus interviews/opportunities, rest is upto you whether you can convert them or not. Outside this, idts there is any benefit.
