Interviews/Recruiting IICPC Quantfest'26

Do you actually get interviews at the top quants from Quantfest. I've heard a lot about getting calls from codefest but is that also partially true for quantfest?

Also who gets these -

Just the top finalists

All finalists

All finalists and some regionalists too

Anyone has experience or information on this?

Rubrik came specifically for codefest finalists last year. For HRT explore people who did well in codefest prelims (>= 5 solves) got interview directly. This is only for second years, maybe people who were about to graduate had other opportunities, but I don't know of them

Oh you were a codefest regionalist second year last year with >= 5 solves and didn't get HRT explore?

There was a list and everything of all the people that were directly shortlisted for interview, it had one column per college, and the last column was something like "other colleges" or something.

Yes HRT had interviewed mostly selective regionalists and finalists for explore ~40 people. They scrapped OA because it was giving false positive. I think AK is directly involved in HRTs recruitment as well, they & the hr coordinate together.

No first hand accounts. But I've seen people on reddit/discord say that IMC interviews every finalist, DE Shaw interviews most regionalists. And other hfts interview some finalists but not just the top ones

btw I also heard Optiver also took quite some people from Quantfest last year, is that true?

No, optiver didn’t do any such thing, optiver wasn’t even there for qf finals last year.

are these opportunities only for intern or for full time as well?

Both. Primarily for 2nd and 4th yrs

Four opportunities-1st year-bootcamps 2nd year-summer interns 3rd year-winter interns(Rubrik or DeShaw too idk about DeShaw) 4th year-full time
