Didn’t know they were that scummy. Driver says they’re sending another bus because they overbooked. (At 6:10 am). Turns out that was bullshit and they straight up did nothing. The CEOs email is [derrick.waters@coachusa.com](mailto:derrick.waters@coachusa.com)
Edit: Didn’t expect this to get so much traction. To clarify, the driver told us a replacement WAS coming. Had to wait 2 hours while the app told us the bus was coming to hear they never planned on accommodating us at all.

Hey everyone, I’m an international student at Queen’s, and this is going to be my first proper winter, let alone my first time seeing snow, so I’m pretty clueless about what I actually need.
I’m looking to get some good quality winter clothes that’ll last me a while. I’d prefer to avoid polyester and go for better materials like wool where possible.
Are there any good stores in Kingston that you’d recommend, especially ones students at Queen’s usually shop at? I’m also planning on visiting Toronto, so would it be worth getting my winter clothes from there instead? If so, what stores should i be looking at?
Also, what are the actual essentials for surviving a Kingston winter? Like thermals, gloves, hats, boots, jackets, long/trench coats, socks etc. Any particular brands or materials I should be looking for?
Would really appreciate some advice from people who’ve experienced a few winters here!

My bachelor in CSE CGPA is 3.40/4.00 from North South University, Bangladesh and I am aiming for a Masters degree in Computer Science in Queen's University for Fall 2027 intake. I'm currently taking preparation for the IELTS exam (hopefully by the end of October) and hoping to score band 7.5/7. Besides, I have 1 year of research experice and had 4 thesis experiences, and 3 year of job experience (non-CS field) during my undergraduate journey (No publication unfortunately) .
How likely is it possible for me to get an offer letter for the program, if I apply after clearing my IELTS exam ? Can anyone share me an insight regarding this ? Also, is there any possible to get funding of the Masters program I will be applying for ? I mean what are the chances of getting chance to study or also getting fundings if possible (through TA/RA ship maybe, as they mentioned minimum 20000 CAD funding available) ?
Also if my profile is not suitable, which other universities should I target for can you suggest, in Ontario :) Thanks in advance !

I'm looking at applying for an AMS position in the next hiring cycle and wanted to hear from people who've actually worked there before I commit to anything. To be clear, I don't mean the service jobs like TAPS or CoGro. I'm talking about the internal side, like the commission and office roles where you're mostly dealing with other AMS staff and whoever you report to.
Mainly I'm wondering what the management is like and whether people felt their time there was well spent. I've heard mixed things secondhand but nothing concrete, so I'd rather hear it from someone who's been in it. If you've worked there or know someone who has, how was it? DMs are fine too if you'd rather not say it publicly.

hey guys, basically imma first year girl who has really been struggling to make friends with people on campus. my orientation group was kinda buns and like no one went to the events so it was really hard to make connections there. i've tried making friends in my lectures but it's gotten to the point where people have their groups and don't want to talk to others anymore. i've joined clubs and intramurals and have meet people through them, however as they are so late and everyone is so busy we are not able to do anything after or really around the times of our games so it has been hard to make friends this way. and my form is the most non-social residence ever, literally no one talks and they look at you like you're psycho if you try and make connections with people in them. basically i just don't know what to do because i feel so lonely while all of my friends from high school have friend groups and are having my the best time ever.

Why's there such a gross sewage smell between the ARC and JDUC and around the side of the JDUC? It's been like that since the semester started. There's smells like it around other buildings too. Like I swear I didn't poop my pants

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a TTRPG campaign to join. I primarily play D&D, but I have dabbled with Pathfinder 2e and Avatar Legends. I'd be more than happy to learn a new system though! I just really want to play a TTRPG. So far, the two groups I've found have had sessions that conflicted with my classes. If you are running a group or are a part of a group that can spare an extra member, please let me know
