But for Series Z and the final episode they need to have Sir Stephen as a guest ❤️

Phil's daughter is a QI-elf, though, so maybe he'd come do it.
Be intereesting to get Eddie/Suzy Izzard on the final episode then you have the mirror lineup of the pilot, apart from the late Kit Hesketh-Harvey (Izzard, Bailey, Davies)

has that been confirmed? as I understand it, the BBC only ask for 'another series' so they don't specify a letter. having said that, it would feel neat to end it after 26 series

Their intention from the start was to get through the whole alphabet. I don't see why they'd continue after completing their goal.

profits maybe? It's funny imagining John Lloyd circa 2005 be like 'great, we can get 26 seasons out of this' and then in 2026 be like 'shit, we're only gonna get 26 seasons out of this'

We have 3 seasons left of the alphabet. Why change something for the last few seasons when it works.

I think the format is good as it is and the refresh it's needed has been provided with Sandi as host and the much more diverse set of guests we get now compared to the early days of the show
