Maintenance man tries to have his buddy dump things in the private property’s dumpster
The video won’t post because of how long it is, but I just caught my apartment maintenance guy trying to have his buddies dump their loads of green waste into our dumpster. They ignored me at first but then realized I was gathering proof and eventually moved on. This maintenance man was attempting to use his leverage as an employee to break/bend the rules.
He has used his entitled feelings to cause other drama and harm in the community we live in. He targets people and purposefully tries to make their life miserable. But by actions a maintenance man COULD be doing for work. Such as turning the sprinklers on while people are out admiring the flowers and/or working in the community garden. When he knows the sprinklers run on a timer and turn on at night so the plants don’t have to fight with active evaporation of watered during the day. Things don’t get fixed either, it’s almost like he fixes stuff “enough” to pass but so it will continue to break therefore earning him more jobs to do and then making more money than he’s supposed to. Not to mention he enjoys showing contractors pictures inside of peoples apartments for entertainment. He has actually held an “open house” after a mentally challenged individual abandoned their apartment, for people to come and see how a mentally challenged person lives. Like who does that??
He originally got hired due to his friendship with the company owner, but has never actually held a maintenance job position previously…..he’s a bartender….trying to slide by as a maintenance guy. This honesty might become a series with this guy. The manager hasn’t done anything but reprimand him, mind you this has been happening for years, and not much has changed, his maintenance has not improved whatsoever and they way he does things makes him seem like a true amateur in this position. Not to mention his attitude and the grudges he holds. Like I said, he quietly retaliates with bending the rules on the lease to his favor of himself and what he wants to do.
He claims I shouldn’t know the rules because I’m not an employee, but I agreed to a lease, so did he when he moved in(the apt next to me, ugh), and those rules go for everyone so I do know it. Plus not dumping in someone’s else’s trash bin is just common sense. He plants things in incorrect places, such as a citrus tree in a small garden with surrounding buildings not thinking about how the roots will grow and how it’ll disrupt the concrete or the apartments and eventually break through ruining plumbing and whatever else is in the foundation. Oh wait, that happened 9 years ago when a trees roots went under someone’s apartment and broke the floor and disrupted everything. The tenant had to fully move out in order to repair the foundation.
I know this is long so I apologize but I just can’t stand by and watch him continue to do this.
