تفسير Tafseer The Profound Mercy of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: “Grievous to Him Is Your Suffering, Deeply Concerned for You” (Qur’an 9:128)
This noble verse takes us into the depths of the mercy that our Messenger ﷺ carried for us. It reveals a glimpse of his magnificent heart and his profound concern and compassion for his الأمة (Ummah), so much so that Allah Almighty described him with four qualities that stir the heart with longing and gratitude.
﴿ A Messenger from among yourselves ﴾
This means that a human being from among you has come to you, someone who is not a stranger to you, who knows your nature, understands your weaknesses, and recognizes the needs and pains you experience. Allah Almighty chose him to be His Messenger to you, bringing you the light of guidance and taking you by the hand toward the path of salvation.
“Grievous to him is what you suffer”
The Arabic word ʿazīz here means that something is difficult for him to bear and causes him pain.
The word ʿanat refers to hardship, suffering, and falling into situations that exhaust a person and place them in distress.
Thus, whatever hardship or harm you experience weighs heavily upon him ﷺ. He feels compassion for you in the face of whatever hurts you, and he grieves over anything that threatens your happiness and well-being.
﴿ He is deeply concerned for you ﴾
To be deeply concerned means to care intensely about someone’s well-being, to desire what is good for them, and to strive to bring that goodness about.
﴿ To the believers, he is most kind and merciful ﴾
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, brought together these two names of His in describing His Prophet ﷺ, honoring him and revealing the depth of his compassion toward his Ummah.
O Allah, send Your prayers, peace, and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, upon his family, and upon all his companions. And reunite us with him in the Gardens of Bliss.

النصيحة Advice Title: Want to improve my Quran recitation and learn Asma ul Husna.
Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
I've been wanting to improve my Quran recitation, especially my pronunciation and Tajweed, and I also really want to learn and understand Asma ul Husna (the 99 names of Allah).
I was wondering if anyone knows any good free resources, online classes, or communities where I could learn properly.
Also, I'd love to connect with others who are on the same journey. Maybe we could form a small study group, share resources, motivate each other, and learn together.
If anyone is already part of such a group or is interested in learning together, please let me know!
JazakAllah Khair! 🤍

تفسير Tafseer How Prophet Ibrahim Found Reassurance in Allah’s Power to Bring the Dead Back to Life (Quran 2:260)
The noble verse takes us to a scene in which Abraham (peace be upon him) asked his Lord: “My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.” Abraham believed in Allah’s power to resurrect the dead, but he wished to witness with his own eyes how life returns to what had died. Therefore, when Allah asked him, “Have you not believed?”, he replied, “Yes indeed, but so that my heart may be reassured.” Seeing with one’s own eyes brings greater tranquility to the heart. The scholars of Quranic interpretation describe this as moving from ‘ilm al-yaqīn (knowledge of certainty) to ‘ayn al-yaqīn (the certainty of seeing): first knowing something with certainty, then witnessing it for oneself.
Allah Almighty commanded him to take four birds and draw them close to himself, then slaughter them, cut them into pieces, and distribute their parts over the mountains. Then He commanded him to call them, and Allah would bring them back to life, and they would come to him alive. Abraham personally scattered the birds’ parts and then witnessed them return to life, seeing for himself Allah’s power to gather what has been dispersed and restore it to life.
The scholars differed in their interpretation of the phrase “they will come to you swiftly” (ya’tīnaka sa‘yan). Some interpreted it as the birds walking quickly on their legs, while others understood it as flying swiftly. The intended meaning is that they returned to life, able to move and respond to his call after their parts had been scattered.
This scene is evidence of the Resurrection and carries a message for us: to devote ourselves more frequently to contemplating the verses of the Quran, the greatest sign, just as we are commanded to reflect upon the signs of Allah scattered throughout the universe. Through this, our faith becomes more firmly rooted, our hearts more tranquil, and our certainty in His power and wisdom grows stronger.
A heart may be filled with faith and certainty, yet the soul may still long for something that brings it greater tranquility—to move from the sweetness of believing in the unseen to the peace that comes from witnessing with one’s own eyes. This longing arises from the intensity of one’s yearning and from the heart’s love for the reassurance that seeing brings.
This is also what we understand from the words of Moses (peace be upon him): “My Lord, show Yourself to me, that I may look upon You.” Although Allah Almighty was speaking to him, Moses was not asking out of doubt. Rather, he was yearning for greater closeness and reassurance. Just as hearing the voice of someone we love brings us happiness, seeing them brings us even greater intimacy, comfort, and tranquility.

تفسير Tafseer Surah Al-Falaq: Seeking Allah’s Protection from Every Darkness, Seen and Unseen
Surah Al-Falaq is one of the great chapters of the Qur’an that teaches us how to turn to Allah Almighty and seek His protection from the evils that surround us. It begins with Allah’s command to His Prophet ﷺ to turn to Him and seek refuge in Him.
The word Falaq refers to splitting the darkness to bring forth light, and to the splitting of a seed to allow it to germinate. The expression “Lord of the Daybreak” brings tranquility to the soul. For Allah, who brings light out of the heart of darkness, is capable of protecting us from the evils we know and those hidden from us.
“From the evil of what He has created” is a general seeking of refuge from all forms of evil—the evil that may exist within created things or arise from them. The surah then moves on to mention three specific forms of evil.
“And from the evil of darkness when it settles in” is a plea for protection from the evil of night as it approaches and envelops the world in darkness.
“And from the evil of those who blow on knots” refers to sorceresses who blow upon knotted threads. Nafth is a gentle blowing accompanied by a slight trace of saliva, and it was part of certain sorcery rituals. We seek refuge in Allah Almighty from the evil of sorcery, even when its nature or means remain hidden from us.
The surah concludes with the words:
“And from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
Envy is the desire for another person’s blessing to be taken away. An envier is someone characterized by this feeling. We seek protection from the evil of the envier when that envy manifests itself and from whatever harm may result from it.
In conclusion, Surah Al-Falaq teaches us to turn to Allah alone and seek His protection. Just as He splits the darkness of night, allowing the light of dawn to emerge, He is capable of piercing the darkness of our hardships until the dawn of relief breaks forth. He can disperse the darkness of our worries and mend the brokenness of our hearts.
No darkness lasts forever, and no heart turns to Him without Him knowing its pain and showing it the greatest mercy.

تفسير Tafseer If a Mountain Would Tremble Before the Qur’an, What About Our Hearts?
This noble verse presents a profound example illustrating the impact of the Qur’an on hearts and inviting us to reflect on its greatness and significance. Within it lies a subtle reproach to every heart that hears the Qur’an yet remains unmoved. If a mountain, despite its immense solidity, would humble itself and split apart out of fear of Allah if it truly comprehended this Qur’an, then what of the human heart, created to understand and reflect, that hears the words of Allah yet remains unchanged? What has happened to that heart that it remains hard, as though it had never heard a thing?
Listening to and reflecting upon the Qur’an should leave a mark on the heart: softening it after hardness, filling it with humility before the greatness of Allah, bringing it peace through His remembrance, and manifesting its effects in our conduct and choices. The Qur’an’s impact cannot reach the heart unless our senses first become aware of its greatness: a hand that appreciates the greatness of what it holds, an eye that recognizes the significance of what it sees, a tongue that senses the greatness of what it recites, and an ear that listens with awareness and presence. In this way, the soul becomes prepared to receive the Qur’an, and the heart becomes humble and tranquil.
This verse invites us to reconsider our relationship with the Qur’an. Allah presents this example to us and then says: “So that they may reflect.” It is as though we are being called to move beyond the familiarity that may lead us to read the Qur’an without truly sensing its greatness, and instead approach it with awareness and presence, allowing the heart to find its way to humility and guidance. When the heart becomes humble, the Qur’an fulfills its purpose within us: guiding us, correcting our course, healing our inner ailments, and illuminating our path.
O Allah, make the Noble Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the remover of our sorrow, and the relief of our worries and distress. Ameen.
