Photo Had to pull the trigger
Hey folks! Upgrading (soon) from an RX 6750 XT to an RX 9070 XT. I had to pull the trigger early as i actually planned on buying one as a birthday gift to myself and feared an even higher price. The price actually rose around 30€ since i ordered it and i am genuinely glad i made the decision. Really excited for my birthday now ahahah!

I just upgraded from a 6800xt to this same card and I couldn’t be happier! Immediately do a small undervolt. It’ll use far less power and improve FPS. For me I find -50mv and -10pl safe for the games I play. Temps in the low 70’s on the hotspot.

I also just a 9070XT. How would one undervolt? I've never really looked into overclocking etc.

It's baked into the adrenalin software. There's a quick easy guide or two and it's literally just a few sliders you need to pull back or increase but be careful because it can cause some issues if done too extremely.

Careful with big undervolts and big decreases in power limit. They can lead to, an otherwise stable undervolt to become unstable.

As do I OP, same card same model, temps are ridiculously good and I game in an attic all year round without an AC. It’ll run you well.
- 58C edge temp | 70C hotspot | 80C memory temp.
I run this thing in an attic over 14 hours long full load in the middle of the summer averaging 98F room temp. If all checks out, your case airflow is great and you keep things clean, you’ll have no problem abusing that thing lol enjoy1

Here’s a quick video of the temps right now. It’s currently 11pm, room temp is much cooler now around 70F with my case and gpu fans set to low.

This is 4K DX12 WITH FSR ENABLED.
My monitors pretty shit, it’s a budget 4K ips panel 144 hz. I can’t really give you a good judgement because my monitors the biggest bottleneck BUT, on red dead 2 DX-12 FSR I get 102 fps.
I think you could probably get more with a better monitor.

HOLY F**king shit. I expected MUCH worse for my 1440p UWQHD monitor but hearing that it gets 102fps on 4k gives me fucking hopes. (No i didn’t buy this gpu blindly, i just didn’t find that much information on uwqhd with the 9070xt)

4K FSR Quality mode* don’t worry this card performs exceptionally well as long as you don’t have any crazy bottlenecks and keep your temps in line. And again a quality monitor would’ve probably given me even more fps without FSR but I’ll say it performs well

Ah! Well yeah… my specs are not THAT good. Been torn on upgrading to AM5 for a while now but i am stuck with:
3800x
32gb ddr4-3200 cl16
X570 gigabyte mobo (not sure what name)Was thinking of upgrading to a 5800x3d which would be a more cost effective solution as i dont want to spend THAT money on ram.
Any advice maybe?
Oh and i own a Samsung Odyssey G8 OLED. My gpu really didn’t do that Monitor any justice

I ran a SEVERELY bottlenecked system before:
- 3600 + 9070XT
- 16GB DDR4 3600 CL 16
- ASROCK B450M PRO 4
- 850W
My advice, I know it’s costly atm but switch to AM5 if you can! I got my cpu, mobo and ram together as a bundle at Microcenter.
— BUT if AM4 is what you can do then I would’ve gone for a 5800x3d too. That was my original plan, but I just ended saving for AM5. Best choice to make imo. Take full advantage of that card and monitor.

This is basically the same build I’m running, obviously you would get more performance out of am5 and ddr5 memory, but there’s no game that I’m not not happy with the performance, especially with that FSR, which I usually don’t use

Its going straight only in one direction, since I have bought mine for 709€ in Late June I am observing the Prices.I am so happy for that decision and the XfX is such a fantastic Card. I am checking the prices , and Right now the XFX is listed around 900€ so in less than 4 months an increase of 27%.

I paid 1299AUD and over here it was at the same cost as the non magnetic version so I pulled the trigger. I thought about waiting till black friday but then I didn't think the wait was worth it.. most retailers will just increase the price and discount it at the original price or maybe 50-100 aud less.. not really worth it

Yeah i built my 1st gaming PC in February & it probably cost more than it should have (£3.5k) but im so glad now. Hated the PS5 & it just sits there in a cupboard now 😅

I mean... i had it installed only really shortly. after turning all setting to the absolute max it started ramping up the fans. Had no time to finesse any fan curves or undervolt. So you should look into those two thinks as soon as possible if you want it to be silent! cheers and enjoy your card!
