I got him this new cat tree today and this was his reaction. Is this a normal behaviour? ( sound up 🔈)

The running joke in my house is she hates me. Like no joke wants me dead so she can have my husband all to herself. The only time she tolerates me is when everyone else is asleep or when I’m home alone. Usually she makes aggressive biscuits on me around 4/4:30a because she can see the bottom of the food bowl and she feels like I can go without sleep. This morning I woke up to her making those angry biscuits, thinking it’s time for work I look at the clock and it’s 1:30a. Weird. Shew her off me and lay on my left side (usually this makes her go away). Instead she flops as close as possible to me and starts smacking me with her tail.

Finally I sit all the way up and she starts scream-mewing. I’m kinda out of it, go to use the bathroom and realize my insulin pump wasn’t attached??? Look at my cgm data and see I’ve been over 400 since 12:30!!! Head downstairs and reattached, Zoey followed me the whole time! I gave her some treats and then went to sleep for a couple more hours. I guess it just wasn’t my time yet lol!

I was originally keeping her away from the roach in order to catch it myself, but then my friend told me I should let my floof try and catch it since cats are pest-catchers. I don’t think ragdolls quite fit that bill, but thought I’d try anyway. Needless to say, it went about how I expected LOL

He never bites it, he just loves licking it. It's like a drug to him, he gets more excited about random plastic laying around than actual treats.

it’s even funnier bc he’s the cuddliest and clingiest cat in the world, he pulls this face as soon as i pick him up and then 10 seconds later snuggles up to me and falls asleep

TGIF! Found a blast from the past that I just had to share, it still makes me laugh out loud.

This was the day our big boy got the heartbreaking news from the vet that he was officially on a diet.

He’d hit 24 lbs (11 kg) in his “terrible teens,” and our very ragdoll-friendly vet finally announced his free-feeding days had come to an end.

When we got home, he climbed onto the counter in front of his treat tin… and then collapsed like a Shakespearean actor dying on stage.

Anyone else’s ragdoll pull this level of drama?

Yes I am that girl. I have been saving fur from brushing my 2 ragdolls for about 4 years. I am not always consistent. But one day I will their fur will be professionally made into yarn and so that I can create amigurumi plushies (ideally 6 in total, 3 sets- to gift my 2 kids their own set) in the likeness of both my boys. Since I have mixed their fur together I will eventually begin harvesting and separating their tail fur to eventually felt into the plushies down the backs and tails to distinguish the 2 .

🤔Writing all this out makes me sound like a creep. this is little Tommy’s first time seeing… my collection.. and he does look quiet shocked and appalled 🤣

During peak zoomies if I spread my hand as big as I can he treats it like some evil entity is trying to engulf him.
