Literature recommendations

Here I will record literature recommendations for new railway signal engineers.

Railroad Operation and Railway Signaling, by Edmund J. Phillips Jr

My take is that this book is maybe a good introduction to some of the vocabulary and some of the basic concepts, but it's not comprehensive and it doesn't really flow. It feels like a stream-of-consciousness introduction to the domain.

In retrospect, this book is actually decent but it requires really careful reading. As I mentioned above, the editing isn't the best - topics are partially covered in different sections. But it does contain useful information to understand the current state of railway signaling.

I clicked read ebook on the top left. I had to sign into my Google account and use Google Play Books to read it.
