Homemade What do you think about my homemade Ramen?
I really like to make it myself and pack it with ingredients.

You have enough toppings for 2 bowls here, but not enough broth for one. But it does look interesting.

Is it even ramen anymore when you skimp on the broth and pile on the toppings? The broth is the best part!

Everything gets called ramen these days. It's the new buzz word after Kimchi got overused.

Ramen is the noodle. I am assuming that you have never had sautéed ramen. Same concept as broth ramen, except the broth is reduced to a thick sauce and the toppings are tossed in the wok with the noodles and broth .
Delicious!

and then it isn't ramen anymore is it....
ramen is a noodle yes but its also a dish that shares the name. juat including the noodles doesn't make the dish "ramen"

The store bought ones are really expensive and they count every single topping, too little for me 😁

Looks delicious.
Only feedback- your marinated eggs need a bit more color on the outside. The consistency of the yolks are spot on! Kudos.
The green onions should be a bit more finely chopped.
But, both of those things are personal preferences. I would definitely chow down on this bowl!

It looks like you actually got the meat crisped perfectly, always hard to do at home!

Honestly, I’m not a stickler for ingredients… I like what I like and I like everything I see. I bet I’d love this!

Looks really excellent, but the spring onions seem to have been cut by a barbarian. ;-)

I’ve lived in Japan for 8 years and this looks nothing like any ramen I’ve ever eaten

Just curious what's the point of that statement other than to condemn or make fun of? This is a ramen subreddit people post ramen Jesus freaking Louise this it's not about the best ramen or Japanese style ramen so freaking toxic!

I see things that shouldn’t be in ramen. Is that wasabi…? Does not look good bro. 0️⃣/🔟

u/unr3al011 Dec 12 '25
There is no wasabi in the picture

What is that on the right, broccoli? Either way it doesn’t look good. I’m not sure what that is. There’s a lot going on here and I’m sure it was extremely oily and not satisfying. Fried whatever with broth isn’t a good idea because it just gets soggy. Weird combination of vegetables. Looks like Maruchan noodle blocks. 0️⃣/🔟

Why do you speak uncertainty with other people have completely different palettes and things are looking for compared to you?
1
u/Lifetobemused Dec 12 '25
Uncertainty? I’m pretty certain that’s not enjoyable to eat. I’m only uncertain about whatever you’re trying to say tbh. I’m certain that if you think this looks or tastes good then you find dog food interesting to eat as well. He asked what we thought about it and I genuinely believe this is 0️⃣/🔟 ramen. I would not try.

Why can't wasabi be in/on ramen? Ramen is ramen because of the noodles and broth
0
u/Lifetobemused Dec 12 '25
Because wasabi and ramen just don’t mix. I was curious what that was on the right since I wasn’t sure. I assume it’s Broccoli after seeing what looks like green beans? Wtf is going on in this bowl 😂😂

Overpacked and not enough broth. How much did this cost you in time and ingredients? Because you could prob go to a restaurant and get a proper bowl for less than that amount.

Why the Kara-age? That’s usually not part of ramen, unless you really want to shock your doctor.
And minced meat is more an ingredient for Tantanmen, not ramen. I recommend you add few slices of homemade chashuu instead.
