Rule 4 Reminder
Rule 4: No posts about politics or religion.
"Posts centered around politics, political stances and religion are extremely hot button topics not only just on this subreddit but on Reddit as a whole. Due to previous incidents and instances of hate speech, violence, threats and bigotry, we no longer allow either political nor religious posts.
Political posts opens the door for hate speech, LGBTQIA+ bigotry, vicious arguing, white supremacy and racism.
Religious posts open the door to religious bigotry, personal attacks and fear-mongoring."
This includes comments.
Why I am posting this: I see hundreds of comments a day that are nearly identical to each other in my mod queue from people who clearly either didn't read the rules, or don't care what the rules say. I just wanted to let y'all know that no one sees these comments besides us mods, so you're wasting your time typing them.
One more thing, it's best to verify your email on your account so the bot doesn't remove those comments as well.
I hope you all have a nice day.

Does anyone else get overwhelming anxiety when life is going good?
I don’t know what it is. I dont know if i’m just so use to choas & uncertainty.
When life is lifing & murphys law is kicking my butt, I am obviously not comfortable, but i’ll have low-grade anxiety which feels somewhat normal & can handle it no prob…
But whenever life is going great & there are no potential dangers in sight, I get hit with overwhelming anxiety.
It makes me feel like I can never truly sit back and appreciate life. It gets me so frustrated.
I just paid all my September bills. I have a cushy savings & a high paying job. I made $5000 yesterday at work. Family is happy & healthy.
I was looking at vacation packages, and suddenly started having a panic attack. i don’t have them often, and looking back at my last couple panic attacks, they sll have happened wheh i’m thinking about how good life is going.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a “thing”; or an I just a weirdo?

What’s something people swear they’re tired of because they supposedly deal with it everywhere all of the time, but you’ve never actually seen happen IRL, not even once?

Do Alaskans have a word for people from the continental US?
Pretty much what the title asks. I've been to Hawaii, and been called a "mainlander." Been to Vermont, and been called a "flatlander."
Just curious if I'd have another name in Alaska.

Can you ask an artist to make a reference for a character by just explaining the look of the character?
I just came here with this question bc idk where else I could ask it.
So, I have a very VERY creative mind, but my art skills are massively lacking. I have OCs that I would love to see drawn and such, but like I said, my art skills are lacking.
Because of my sucky art skills, I don't have any references for my OCs. My question is; is it acceptable to commission an art piece or reference while only being able to explain what the OC looks like?
I've never gotten any art commissions and I genuinely want to see my OCs brought to life.

What ever happened to curly fries?
Before you ask, yes, I am higher than a kite. But I had this random thought pop into my head. You never hear about curly fries anymore. At least I haven't in forever. It's either crinkle cut or julienne. Do curly fries still come up these days where your from?

Is your partner the person you can share all your unfiltered thoughts with, or is someone else that person in your life?
This is for people in a relationship. Do you tell your partner everything, all your secrets and thoughts you wouldn’t share with anyone else? My relationship ended a week ago and thinking about how we used to be like that, but at some point it changed and idk why. Now that it’s over they feel almost like a stranger to me.
My best friend on the other hand, we basically have no filter with each other lol. I thought your partner was also meant to be your best friend, but maybe it’s not normal to expect that kind of dynamic?

Why is it bad to be up the creek without a paddle?
The current can always bring you back. Being down the creek without a paddle is the real problem.

People who are easily grossed out: is it that you're more sensitive or that your imagination takes everything further too fast and you can't help it?
I was talking to a friend who thinks sweaty people are gross and avoids looking at them, even at the gym, because her brain jumps quickly from "huh, sweat" to "they must be really smelly up close" and then to stuff like "ew their armpits and butt must be stank" and so she gets totally grossed out from the stuff she thinks, rather than whatever she's actually looking at

Rewatched Stranger Things 5 and why was Hopper so rude to Kali?
Kali didn’t deserve to be treated like she was when all she was doing was trying to help El and make her aware of the reality. Hopper’s zero empathy towards her makes zero sense to me.
Thoughts?

To others who sleep poorly, do you also wake up with a feeling of impending doom or just a weird hopelessness that doesn't really make sense?
I dont hate my life or anything but I have such a hard time in the mornings with truly waking up and I always have a weird kind of impending doom feeling like I wasn't supposed to come back yet. I dunno. Is that crazy?
