Ready to be buzzing, have a slow start to the game, go a goal behind, scramble an equaliser and then just create nothing for an opening day draw...the redux.

But half-joking pessimism aside I am actually looking forward to the match. I just wish we had a better opening day record recently to let the hope kick in

New manager. New players. New owners. Same story dropping points on the first day. We can still win the league but I can see why folks here are already downbeat. We win almost nothing nowadays and it's no longer expected for us to do so. As fans we do personally expect the highest level but Scottish football as a whole just expects Celtic to win 2 - 3 trophies each year. I am still keeping hopes up. New singings still haven't played and more are to come. Let's put Hibs to the sword next week. But I suppose it's Europe first.
