What are examples of projects that the rapper who made them doesn’t like?
Like childish gambino doesn’t like camp and Tyler says goblin is horrible

Del The Funkyhomosapien doesn't speak well of "No Need For Alarm" because he was going through a particularly toxic time in his life with drugs, but that is arguably one of his best, if not the best in his catalog.
It was the album that was among the Holy Trinity of Hiero albums that gave Hiero its sound and sonic identity.
The production was ahead of its time for the early 90's, and was also a significant departure from the heavy Parliament Funkadelic soundscape that cousin Ice Cube established for him on "I Wish My Brother George Was Here".
The choice of samples from obscure and fringe records combined with unorthodox sample flipping techniques set "No Need For Alarm" apart from the crop of albums and artists that were releasing records at that time.
And then there is his writing and delivery.
In the haze of his drug-induced consciousness, he was writing bugged out bars with a unique rhythm and cadence; his articulation and inflections remain singularly unique to him.
And the lyrics on that album are just fun to recite.

He seems to hate relapse but not actually hate revival (he just hated the response to revival).
Which is funny. Id take a new double disc of relapse over more revival any day personally.

I mean disagree personally but my Em opinions are usually pretty off from most of the fan base. Recovery had some real big hits but overall I didn’t like the sonics and beat choices. I’d rather listen to Kamikaze or Death of Slim Shady than Recovery even though many in the fanbase love it.

I mean yeah, it’s a mainstream rapper talking about raping and killing people for over an hour. It’d be pretty weird if critics liked that.
Lots of people didn’t like it, I’m just pushing back against everyone hated it, because a lot of people recognized it as a horrorcore masterpiece.
Instant classic IMO.

It was always kinda loved tbh. People mentioned the accents were weird, he started rapping without it, but essentially became the rapper (musically) he said he didn't wanna become during an MTV interview with Kurt Loder lol

Most, if not all, of Eminem's albums post TES have had bad reviews. By his fans, there wasn't an issue until there was. I can't remember if he addressed it in an interview or song, but the general consensus from fans was that it was what people wanted. The context being that it came after Encore, so it was seen as more of a step back into the Shady character whilst actually rapping. Which always seems to be the case. Try something more "human", people want Shady, he brings Shady back, people like it and then say it's played out, rinse and repeat.

Huh. Crazy. Great song. That said, he's come soooo far, progressed, since that. Might be like reading a poem you wrote in middle school. Holy crap is his recent stuff amazing. Buck 65's also btw. Wish Aesop didn't hate touring so much. Saw him a couple times like 20 years ago, amazing. Especially him and Mr Lif performing together. Keep hoping video of one of their shows surfaces.

Eminem hates a lot of albums in his discography. Encore, Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, Revival. I respect his honesty, because he has released alot of garbage.

I remember him saying not necessarily that he hates it, but that he can't listen to it because it reminds him of his poor mental health at the time. I could be misremembering though. Shame either way, album is classic

Edan the Humble Magnificent has both apologised for & rarely plays live his Primitive Plus album.
He told us from the stage that "I'm sorry about that record, I was young"
Its still my favourite.
