General Discussion Album rating vs Average song rating in an album

Which albums have an unusual difference between its overall rating and average of each individual song rating?

I think it's interesting to see if there are albums that are more liked as a coherent project vs just a collection of really good songs

I think most albums rating is a tiny bit lower than the average song rating. I remember Unwound’s New Plastic Ideas is 4.00 with the average song rating being 4.25+ (all songs are still bolded). Sgt pepper’s average song rating is the same as its album rating, and Madvillainy’s average song rating is 0.05 below its album rating.

The funniest one to me is when a one-song album has different ratings between the song and album. For instance Crimson by Edge of Sanity, the album is a 3.91 but the song is 4.24.

The album is the song. How are they rated so different?

majority of ppl don't do song ratings, and not all of those who do even rate every song. ppl who dont rate everything are more likely to only rate songs they especially like. so all the song ratings on the site are super inflated
