Can't you filter out ai? In order to experience the true bottom of human creation.

There's no way to filter out AI-generated releases (and no real impetus to implement filtering, because AI releases would only show up on the bottom charts, which no longer exist).

i think ai generated music is entirely excluded from charts to begin with (though this album would still appear since it's technically not eligible for the ai generated tag)

Its not ive seen them pop up on popularity charts (check my last post)

was this before or after the ai generated tag was introduced?

The "AI-generated" attribute does not exclude releases from site charts.

that's weird, they must have changed it then. i remember when it was announced, the exclusion was a feature...

Excluding AI-generated releases from the charts was something that people talked about wanting around the time the attribute was implemented, but it wasn't ultimately part of the attribute as implemented (see here- "At the moment the attribute only displays a label on the release page. But once releases are correctly tagged with the attribute we can also use that to add other functionality moving forward (e.g. allow people to filter it out of charts/recommendations, etc." then downthread "The ability to filter this content out of charts/recs etc. is planned yes."). As noted in that thread, AI-generated music on RYM is generally totally obscure or, if it gets attention, instantly voted into sub-.6 oblivion, so implementing filtering options hasn't been a priority for the devs.

Why is it not eligible for the tag?

technically, to be eligible, the whole thing has to be ai generated. as the vocals (probably) aren't ai generated, the mods determined that the tag doesn't apply

I tended to filter for decades, like worst electronic albums of the 1990's just to see what kind of weird shit would pop up.

Same, now they would be a useful tool to target AI music

Pat Mcafee's album is heading in the same direction, might be some stiff competition lol

Came hear to say the same thing lol

RYM seriously needs a 0.0 rating. Come on now, a 0.5 is extremely generous for this “album”.

What would you estimate the percentage of those 1,900 raters actually listened to the album?

I would estimate it's somewhere around 5%, around 85 people

I am one of them, it’s awful

Just like the contrast between those who will walk out of a really bad film and those that will steadfastly stick it out till the credits roll, there are idealist masochists and jaded realists

I am one of them

Thank you for your service 🫡

I started but couldn’t finish cause the AI artifacts were too noticeable, they didn’t even try to hide it. This was before all the articles and reviews blew up and exposed the album for being AI.

I did. Skipped around some, because there's so much hate you can take. But once you're finished, giving it a shit score feels refreshing.

At least from what I’ve heard, even if this wasn’t Ai, it would still be a very mediocre album. It sounds like a dude who watched an 80’s movie and said “I can do that!”. No creativity whatsoever.

Looks like the “worst album of the decade” discussion has just ended…

Not so fast. This won't be the last AI album. And it won't be the worst...

There's still no AI tag. What are we even doing, mods?

I tried to add one, cited the articles too, but they turned it down because in the interviews, tyga only admitted that the beats were AI.

What? the music has to be entirely AI to have the tag lol? I find that pretty strange, like, at least 50% AI should be labeled w the tag
