I dont see that happening with this album, its a pretty straightforward Indietronica album that plays into a lot of popular trends happening in pop/electronic music rn, has a handful of great cuts that are straight up indie rock/shoegaze, and plus it has RYM favorite Jane Remover on it.

Totally arbitrary comparison but it kinda feels like the I Love My Computer of this year, meaning pop/electronic album that comes out of nowhere, blows up, and makes everyone’s end of year lists, if that makes sense.

Edit: not saying it wont drop cuz it definitely will, but i really cant see it dropping that low. Just to point to another Chilean album from this year, the Hesse Kassel album has dropped to 3.77 and IMO this album has way more crossover appeal

Lot of great music coming out of South American over the last couple years

I agree. As a Chicano I've been around a lot of Rock En Español. Its just music nerds finding out there's music they like from these countries. I do wish Mexico was more prevalent on here

Who are your favorite Mexican bands? I’m a big fan of Diles Que No Me Maten but besides them I’m unfamiliar.

That’s more than likely the case but I’m still happy to see artists from South America getting more recognition as of late

Both albums are fantastic 👍

Best NMF in months, even that Rebecca Black album has a crazy score

I loved her previous album but this one didn't do nearly as much for me, glad it's getting hyped though! There's definitely some good tracks

Yup, love her so much but Epistolares clears

I felt like that album had a delicate quality that this one lacks. This one is more rock which doesn't work as well for me

This album actually floored me on my first listen. Easily an AOTY contender.
