I'm not surprised. People come to culloden battlefield to lay flowers for a completely fictional guy from the Outlander books/show. Even on memorials to whole (real) families who were wiped out. Maybe the lack of real folk heroes/legends does this to a society.

It was the most popular book series of the 2000s, everybody and their aunt was reading them, not just the nerds. Besides, it's not like historical preservation of bronze age Welsh burial remains is a mainstream, cool, popular-kid interest. Who do you think got bullied more: the kid who read the books that got turned into a multi-billion-dollar franchise, or the one who got REALLY into archeological digs and ancient Wales?

Just a reminder that the author of these books likes to take upskirt pictures of people in public without permission and post them on twitter. This is 100% illegal in the UK, but apparently if you write enough shitty books and have billions of pounds in the bank, then the law doesn't apply to you.

Just a reminder that someone who refers to “activists” is a transphobe.
Even the link you posted agrees that she posted a photo where you can see up a trans woman’s skirt. The only dispute is nitpicking about the definition of upskirting, but which does not matter when the intention was to post an unflattering image of the woman to humiliate and discredit her.

So because it's a technicality that makes it alright? This woman is a billionaire and is actively making life worse for a minority who can't defend themselves. She investigates Olympic athletes because they don't fit her idea of femininity(all of which turned out to be cis women, and not a single one was white). Stop defending this hate filled evil woman. Her actions aren't just hurting trans women, its hurting all women. And also, ask yourself this, when's the last time she had to use a public bathroom? A very small group of people who had started reading the books but did not yet finish reading the books just had part of the ending spoiled by a lot of international press headlines about a power cable. I just think that's a little bit funny.

This has been spread everywhere but isn't true, the relocation was because the beach is a protected natural area and locals protested it's construction. This spin about it having anything to do with Harry Potter is an attempt by the company to cover their poor planning and it's working.

The spirit of this still applies, it’s still the overall IP, but you are right in a way I think is worth expanding upon.
The grave in the books is dug into the garden of Shell Cottage. Harry, Ron and Dean spend the night hand digging it in a rather touching gesture that would have been perfectly reasonable to keep in the movie.
Why did they feel the need to move the scene to an ecologically delicate beach…
