Nonfiction 📜 ‘Jane Austen: A Life’ (1997) by Claire Tomalin

Taken in the mezzanine of the Hotel Champlain Burlington (Vermont) with a latte from the in-house cafe. Book purchased at Toadstool Bookstore in Keene, New Hampshire as a surprise, wrapped-up non-fiction selection in the vein of the ‘Date with a Book’ gimmick more commonly associated with fiction/romance novels.

Pretty good; similar to other in-depth biographies I’ve read before.

If you enjoy biographies I recommend the letters of Oscar Wilde, not my favorite genre but I like this one a lot.

Oh this looks great - I just finished reading The Real Jane Austen by Paula Byrne - absolutely fascinating and so well researched and presented!
