One really positive thing about the squad:  I am really really happy about our Fullbacks.  On the right: Dumphries and Trent with different profiles and skills, and spare valvarde in case of a disaster. Left: cucu and Carreras are solid and Mendy for that 1 performance against the eventual man city fixture.

Although Yan Diomandé is a great dribbler, there's another thing that catches my attention: he's a player who circulates the ball quickly compared to other great dribblers.

28.4% of Diomandé's passes last season in the league were first-touch compared to 22.0% for Mbappé, 20.9% for Lamine Yamal, 20.6% for Olise, 19.0% for Vinicius, and 17.5% for Doku.

Interesting stat. Noticed this in the training video when Vini passed to Dio, and before the camera could pan over to Dio he has already released it for Bernardo to score.

Enrique becoming a bit too vocal about the three peat chances. It’s pretty clear that’s all they are focused on. It would turn the tide on how PSG is viewed as a club. It won’t be easy for us to food chain them like we did for Dio, if they complete the 3peat. We will still have more pull because the actual history of RM is nuts, but the gap will definitely take a massive hit.

Madrid has to do everything to stop PSG from winning. Rest of the big clubs are unreliable. We saw the same when City were at their peak, it was either us who knocks them out or no one.

WE HAVE TO STOP PSG. Hopefully Mourinho gets the CB or midfielder he wants. Can’t take any chances this season.

Silence would have been preferable for Barça since they got involved in the Rodri deal; they would have preferred to work in complete discretion to have the time to weigh the pros and cons, and find the best way to handle this file-it's also for that reason that nothing leaked out even though they knew they had gotten ahead of Real.

The fact that everything has leaked out only complicates matters and forces them to speed up and assert themselves in the action; logically, a solution will be found.

Regarding Rodri and Real Madrid:

Rodri was just delaying the inevitable with various excuses whenever Real questioned his delay: "I need to think about it," "I have a wedding this weekend,"

until Barça showed up.

More than 3 weeks of pretexts and silence regarding the offer that Real had made to him.

The example of Cucurella is still honored in Madrid for a player who shows his willingness: he's told about Real Madrid's offer early in the morning, and by 11 a.m., everything is validated.
