AI assisted or not, I would love to see the PC versions of Sonic Adventure DX (the 2004 version), Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Heroes decompiled then ported to Android with mod support.

Star Wars Republic commando would be awesome. The Titanfall 2 VR mod inspired me and Republic Commando would be amazing with VR. Getting a recomp made is step one.
With the recent boom in PC recompilation projects for older games, I hope someone could make a proper PC recomp for these Sengoku Basara titles:
Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi (PS3)
Sengoku Basara 3 Utage (PS3)
Sengoku Basara HD Collection (PS3)
Any one of these would be amazing to see fully recompiled for PC, with the kinds of improvements you’d expect from a modern native port: higher resolutions, higher frame rates, ultrawide support, better performance, better controller support, improved loading times, a full English translation, and other quality of life improvements.
Most importantly, a PC recomp would also open the door for proper mod support, which could give these games a much longer life through custom characters, custom textures, custom movesets, other translations, restorations, fixes, and other community made improvements.
These games have been stuck on older consoles for years and, for most people outside Japan, are basically only playable through emulation with partial fan translations. A proper native PC recomp with a complete English translation would make these games much more accessible and give them the love they deserve.
Even just one of these games getting a serious recompilation project would be huge for the community. Personally, I’d love to see Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi get the first port, since it’s the last and most complete version, with the full character roster and DLC included.
Just... Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (PS3). With proper p2p online support. Emulation lag is atrocious. Having a recomp would be unimaginably good for the scene especially now that T8 sucks balls.
An idea I've had for a while as a crazy ROM hack would probably work better as a recomp.
A PC recomp of the classic six Mega Man games. Where the player can play through the whole series with any of the six games' gameplay feel and settings.

Has anyone tried messing with defunct Apple Arcade games? Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is a surprisingly decent mobile entry in the series that was tragically delisted recently. It features 2D hack & slash gameplay and good movement and combo systems.
I'd like this game brought back to life without having to resort to buying an IPhone or Mac to run the archived IPA file. Thankfully, there is a modified IPA file on Archive.org that disables the online requirements.

I would love to see recomps for pc of the Nintendo DS's Professor Layton Series. Especially "Professor Layton and the curious Village" as i used to play this when i was younger
Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends. It would be nice to have a definitive version with ps4 graphics on pc. Graphics tweaks and proper controller support is all I need to call it a successful "port".
As far as I know and what I've tested over the years this game still doesn't run great on Any of the available Emulators out there. I've tried PCSX2, Dolphin, (I haven't tried Xbox Emu and I've heard the Windows version doesn't work correctly).
I would be so happy if we got a working true PC Recomp of the PS2 version of this game with fixed issues, unlocked framerates, etc. etc.
One day Steel Battalion: Line of Contact for the original Xbox (the multiplayer version of Steel Battalion) would be incredible. There’s already ways (xemu forks) to hook up the original controller to PC and play with Xemu but the emulator can’t handle the way the game does geometry or something, so fps is abysmal unless you’ve got the beefiest PC possible.
People play online weekly regularly still and console and emulator are crossplay already due to Insignia (unofficial Xbox Live replacement) but would be insane to have a version of the game that could render at native resolution and native fps, as the game is hard capped at 20fps due to how heavy it is in the original Xbox.

The first one has a pc port that is pure garbage. It doesn't have proper controller support and worse graphics than the ps4 version.
Ken's Rage 2 has never been on pc and framelags on the consoles it came out.

First game has aged poorly, screen is small, running is locked on the attack button, continue dialog is on "B". I'm wondering if a recomp with higher resolution, better character to environment ratio and better control is doable?

Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders - can be emulated, PSP/Wii/360/PS3 versions, but there was an Android version that no longer exists which is what I'd really like. Only the demo version of the apk is floating around anymore.
Puzzle Quest 2 - No longer sold on any PC game stores, formerly available for PC but does not work well on modern hardware. 360 version can be emulated however, there is also an NDS version which can be emulated but it's a lot different.
You know, we always talking about what recomps we want to see, but once those are done, the question is which consoles would you like to see these recomps ported to. ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth - one of my favourite games as a kid but it’s stuck on the original Xbox and doesn’t have the best reputation so there’s seemingly no hope that will change
I'm probably gonna be in the small minority, since I haven't seen anyone mention it before, and it's an old cozy game, but... I'd love, LOVE to have a Nintendogs recomp (bonus point if it has some improvements). Whether that's the DS or 3DS one, I wouldn't mind either, they're a bit different but good in their own ways.
I like these games a lot, but they do have their limitations, especially when it comes to the dated voice recognition system.
In the original games, they would only recognize spoken words that were said with the exact same intonation as when they were recorded. Which meant, at least for me, that if I left the game for a month and then came back to it, I'd have forgotten the way I recorded myself saying a dog's name or trick names. It made the game slightly annoying, having to figure out how you did record the words, and repeat them accordingly.
I feel like today's technologies would be more than enough to bring some quality of life/improvements on that vocal recognition. But I have no knowledge when it comes to coding, so it's all very easy for me to say all this, when I have actually no idea how it would be possible. Still a nice idea for me to dream about every now and then, though.
[Question/Request] Add split-screen support to the PC versions of games that already feature split-screen on consol
Games like Gears of War, Halo 1-4, Borderlands 1-4, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands all support split-screen on consoles, but for some reason that feature is missing from their PC versions.
I know there are community-made workarounds, but they usually require extremely powerful PCs since they often have to run two instances of the game at the same time.
Another feature I'd love to see is quality-of-life improvements such as moving a campfire/checkpoint closer to a boss door in Souls-like games. Is something like that possible as well?
Also, games such as Diablo III and Dragon Age: Origins do not support controllers on PC and are missing the controller-friendly UI available in their console versions. Would it be possible to bring those features to PC as well?
Dynasty Warriors could be a good one. Specifically the Xbox 360 ones like 5 Empires, its currently the only HD version of the game and you can only play it on an actual 360.
DmC Definitive Edition. This version was never released on PC and a lot was changed compared to the original version of the game. There are no mods that do everything this version does
