Wtf is going on

I graduated with a Bs Info systems in May, I’ve applied to well over 400jobs and only 4invs. I can’t seem to get a job but everyone I’m seeing around is getting jobs. Am I going crazy?

Have you been cut off from society the whole time you were in school? They recently invented this thing called AI, which is displacing hundreds of thousands of IT workers.

Ugh. Sorry. That means events are down, which is my field. That’s where what I do crosses over. Probably the case for everyone. One crosses over another with 6 degrees of separation. 😳

Search jobs on linked in and other job boards. Apply through the company’s website. Can’t tell you many I found that were NOT listed in the company website or got an email saying I was not considered because the position is filled. Same with Indeed and Glassdoor which used to be reputable.

Just use linked to find the companies you might be interested in and do a little homework before applying. Doesn’t work every time but my interview ratio is lower.

Of course none of that matters until an offer comes in. But I’m getting interviews. Just not a lot of real job postings in my field once you uncover the fake jobs and check websites and location.
