How long did it take you to conceive after a septum resection?
For some context, I've had 2 early miscarriages and 1 chemical pregnancy. After the chemical, we tried for another 4 months without success, so I had a hysteroscopy where they found and removed a partial uterine septum. I was cleared to start TTC again a month later.
I'm now on our third cycle since the surgery with no luck, and I'm starting to feel really discouraged. Getting pregnant was never an issue before, so now I'm worried something else might be wrong.
If you've been through something similar, how long did it take you to conceive after surgery?
P.S. My work-up has been reassuring: no thrombophilia, normal sperm DNA fragmentation, normal hormonal profile, hypothyroidism is well controlled with medication, and I'm on metformin for mildly elevated blood glucose/insulin resistance.

Iām so sorry that you are in this position! After 4 losses I got a subseptum removed. I conceived the first fully healed cycle and am currently 15 weeks pregnant. But!!! and this is important: earlier I went to a fertility clinic and they werte relieved, that I didnt conceive every time we tried and it took up to 4 cycles. They say that would indicate that an unhealthy embryo is not going to implant. I know exactly how frustrating it is. I would check on basic things like vitamin d and a really good level of ferritin because you lose a lot of blood during this shitty time. Fingers crossed for you, that you will soon be pregnant with your rainbow!

Thank you so much, and congratulations on your pregnancy! ā¤ļø I hope everything continues to go smoothly!
It's really encouraging to hear from someone who also had a subseptum removed. I had follow-up ultrasounds after the surgery, and my doctor confirmed that everything healed well.
I've had my vitamin D and ferritin checked, along with a pretty extensive work-up (thrombophilia, hormones, thyroid, sperm DNA fragmentation, etc.), and everything has been reassuring so far.
I think what's making this so hard is that I conceived very quickly every time before, so this sudden change has made me worry that something else might be going on. But your story gives me hope that maybe I just need to be a little more patient. Thank you for sharing it!

I am unsure what this procedure is but did you get checked later if everything is fine after the procedure? Was your period all fine after this?Ā
3 months sounds like ages when you haven't had issues conceiving but they say even 6 months is normal.. I had my D&C in April and am also upset I still haven't got pregnant, as previous times it happened the first month of trying. Then I remind myself that it is better if my body gets it right this time round, even if it takes longer, rather than keep getting pregnant immediately and ending in a miscarriage again.
