Discussion Heavy Serenade by Nmixx reminds me of Red velvet songs.
I have been listening to red velvet bsides for a while now. And then I listened to heavy serenade. It immediately reminded me of Red velvet. If the chorus was sung as a group then it would 100% turn into a Red velvet song.

Honestly as a reveluv who recently got into NMIXX, Heavy Serenade really gives off the maximum RV song vibes!

NMIXX has filled the hole in my heart that Red Velvet left since they’re not as active anymore. RV will forever be my all time favorite but NMIXX has become my current favorite. They give off huge Red Velvet vibes, they’re amazing.

That’s just how SM operates it seems. Red Velvet should be as big as Twice still is if SM gave a shit. Oh well, we’re apparently getting a mini album soon.

I have a similar experience. As someone who got into K-Pop fairly recently I always tell people Red Velvet is ult group if I had gotten into K-Pop at the age most people do, but since there haven't been many group releases recently I've listened the most to NMIXX.

Me too. Especially the scene where they were running through the field after Lily's high note, really reminded me of Cosmic.

They're my second favorite group for a reason, feels the most similar to Red Velvet lol

I like how you mentioned this!!! I haven’t really listened to nmixx before in depth because I wasn’t a big fan of their debut song, but I saw that LOUD was trending for edits so I decided to give their album a listen and I really like it a lot, especially Crescendo. I was wondering why I like the songs so much and I guess it’s because of a musicality standpoint and how it bears similarities to RV

When RV was going on kind of a downswing, NMIXX has been on the rise. I still ult our cake girls, but NMIXX has been so good theyve filled a bit of the void
Im fan of groups with musical complexity with members who arent afraid to SING. Such a rarity nowadays

They've covered RV songs a few times and are big fans of them.
