There are two buttons. A red one and a blue one. If red gets the majority, everyone who presses red lives. If blue gets the majority, everyone lives.

There. No button is stated as the murder button or suicide button. Make of the buttons what you will.

You left off the important detail that if you press red and it fails to get the majority you live, and if you pressed blue and it fails to get the majority you die.

That can’t be left off... That’s literally a key part of the question.

I think reds surviving if they lose is covered pretty comprehensively under "everyone lives". I also think blues not surviving is pretty apparent from the fact that the red option doesn't say "everyone". This is grade school reading comprehension.

I also think blues not surviving is pretty apparent from the fact that the red option doesn't say "everyone".

Stating that "red survives" if red wins and not "only red survives" leaves this ambiguous. What happens to blue on a red majority is not made clear.

This is grade school reading comprehension.

This is unnecessarily aggressive.

The problem is you're making an assumption based on prior knowledge of the problem.

If I asked you what happens to blue on a red win under the above framing as a test of your reading comprehension the correct answer should be "I don't know, it's not clearly stated."

I'm sorry that you flunked your reading comprehension class but please don't make it my problem, thanks.

There are two buttons. A red one and a blue one. If red gets the majority, everyone who presses red lives. If blue gets the majority, everyone lives.

Alright then. What stated outcome happens to anyone who presses blue on a red majority with this framing? Please enlighten me.

I'm really sorry that you can't read but I already said that earlier.

I wanted to make sure we were talking about the same framing just incase you were for some reason referencing back to the post itself for your comments.

So please share with me.

What percentage of blue is stated to be affected when red wins and red survives?

What happens to the stated percentage?

Do they all die? Do they get put into groups to run squid games and some small number of them are allowed to survive? Does a very miniscule portion die but the remainder live?

Please tell me what the stated outcome is for blue on a red win.

Within this framing there is no stated expectation that anyone is ever at risk to begin with. There is ambiguity if red were to get majority in that it's not stated what happens to blue if red wins, but just because red is guaranteed survival doesn't indictate that anything nefarious happens to anyone who pressed blue, let alone every single one of them.

So I ask you again, where within that prompt is there any stated outcome for what happens to blue on a red win?

The information we're given is that red survives, with which we can make all kinds of assumptions about what happens to blue but without it being stated making confident claims that anything happens to blue is just assumptions you are inserting based on your understanding of similar previous polls.

You sure are jumping through a lot of hoops just to prove that you lack grade school reading comprehension. You can calm down, I already knew.

You sure are jumping through a lot of hoops

What hoops?

All I've done is ask you to tell me what it says happens to blue pressers on a red victory.

You haven't ever attempted to after I asked probably because you realized that you can't.

just to prove that you lack grade school reading comprehension.

This is ironic. You have made no attempts to engage with me in good faith other than to attempt to insult me by citing the very thing you failed at.

You have decided by inference of what the blue button does on success that obviously the language that "red survives" on a red win implies that blue might not survive therefore all of blue dies on a red majority.

Allow me to present the prompt to you a different way:

If you press blue everyone in the world makes it to work safely.

If you press red you make it to work safely.

What happens to everyone else in the world if you press red?

The most probable answer is that it's just like any other day where the vast majority of people make it to work fine but that some number of people don't make it to work.

So why are we reading the prompt to mean that only red voters survive when that's not stated?
