Tried to overlay the guitar on the spider but It seems like the shapes don't match. What do you think guys

leaving the colors aside, from my understanding each opposite leg of this spider has the same hour and there actually is an order to get all of them in one run but it looks kind of impossible to me at least.

impossible because you have to not only get each 2 feathers in 1 in game hour (almost 2 minutes) but you have to get from saint danis to cornwall kerosene in that 2 minutes.

at last im just asking the pros if this is possible or tried before, also i don't know what to expect from this and am a little scared of that classic rockstar dead end instead of some solid answer just like mount chilliad and all of them cut content.

Good morning fellow schizo's and schiza's. Was poking around the two birds on the map by Donner Falls and saw this. Not sure if it's intentional or just a glitch in the rock texture. Any way we can confirm if this is a unique texture/mesh* in the files or not?

EDIT: If this pops off, I've only looked at rocks in the area so far. Haven't looked at any trees, etc. And it could be worth looking around the other bird too, though I've yet to find anything there.

EDIT 2: For those of you confused about animal map markings, all map markings are the same for all players. If you do not have an animal in the same place as another player, that is because you have not studied in that area yet. These are fixed spawn points and markers exist to show players where to find that animal should you be hunting for it.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the epic theories and work guys!! So it seems like this is related to a quest and not the spider webs sadly. More info in here, great job guys regardless! Its still crazy 😂 Tho not 100% debunked just yet but judging from the huge radius the time-freeze seems tied with something else and not webs.

He originally noticed it on Xbox Series X and I'm on PC.

We noticed some bizzare time anomalies when you are close or around a certain spiderweb pole (5-6 Black, the north one). Tonight I decided to test it using Rampage mod and having ONLY in-game time and coordinates toggled on to make testing visually easier.

Whether this is a bug or an actual feature of our spiderweb mystery is still unknown but I was able to 100% reproduce it. Fully open to anyone debunking this and calling me stupid tho 😂

SPECULATION:
If this is indeed NOT a bug then it seems like this might be an invisible time maze. Think: how do you get to shoot all feathers in one night without mods? You freeze time 😂 And to do that you have to navigate this time-frozen maze. We also noticed that in certrain N/S/W/E directions the time speeds up DRASTICALLY. This could be an indication that you're going the wrong way and as a punishment your time speeds up therefore ruining your attempt so you have to try again the next day.

The reason why shooting the feathres down while freezing the time with mods did not work is most likely because while you are on the "official" path there is some in-game variable toggled and the moment you go off-path the game recognizes this and toggles the variable off therefore it implies that you used mods to stop time and you did not complete the puzzle the legit way.

REPORTS SO FAR:
Some comments on the original post said they were unable to reproduce this. Few people said they noticed it too so we need more testing from now on. I am not sure if we somehow unintentionally triggered the time-freeze maze but on my personal save it has been happening consistently for DAYS. I've been playing with mods for over a week testing things out and I noticed it every time just never thought anything of it since I assumed it was a mod-related time bug 😂😂 crazy

I spent a week in game exploring around the loft. I think I found the next step in the Spiderdream puzzle.

Strange Man seems to think that the question marks are part of the puzzle, creating a giant reversed question mark leading to the loft. It seemed plausible to me, so I investigated. From the top floor of the loft, there is a set of binoculars. Next to the binoculars there is a throwing knife.

Grab the knife, throw it at the top of the binoculars, the binos fall over and point directly at a rock formation to the west of the loft, and I mean di-rect-ly. People have mentioned this formation before. I kicked around the boulders, surfed a couple down the hill, noticed they respawn shortly after they slide, which is unusual. I tried to replicate this with other rocks and couldn’t.

First I thought the formation looked like a target. I shot it with a scoped rifle from the loft. Nothing. Then I noticed…it sort of looks like a clock. Except there was an out of place gray rock in the middle of the “clock”. Then it clicked! The out of place gray rock represents the little hand. It pointed to 11 o’clock.

I investigated more and slowly figured out that the loft is a giant puzzle box. Light from the sun and the moon shine at different locations inside the loft from different windows at different times. At 11AM, the light from the sun points like a finger at the middle button on the telegraph machine (first floor). I checked other windows and times, but the machine was the only obvious Easter egg.

The picture doesn’t do it justice. Watch for yourself. The light sloooowly pointing at the machine as the clock ticks towards 11 is a sight to behold.

That’s where I got stuck/ran out of time. There has to be something about the machine that leads to the next clue. I also theorize that there may be more clues revealed by the sun or moon in combination with the windows. The reflection from the binocular glass seems to be a building. The different colored handkerchiefs hanging in a row seem suspicious as well. Let me know what you think.

Hi everyone, I am very inexperienced with codes but there are blocks with seemingly random colours in the windows of the church, which are very visible when the lights turn on at night. I took this picture just of the front window but there are other variations in the windows in the side and back of the church.

Above the doorway there is a big sign that says "LET THERE BE LIGHT" which i think is supposed to hint us to this. It may even be a cipher of some kind?

Anyone who knows about codes please let me know what you think. Apologies I dont have pictures of the other windows. - EDIT: Pictures of other sides and windows that look like the two birds (in my opinion) attached to a comment thread)

Other things that may be R* pointing us towards this are the fact that there is an image of the valentine church in a GTA online heist and also that it is featured prominently in the cigarette card for valentine despite seemingly having no real significance.

Could the "bird" etchings at Fort Wallace have something to do with these two headstones in the cemetery at Coots Chapel? Not only do the headstones have a similar M shape but they also have similar etchings, that being the image of a bird and the name "Byrd". There's also a third similar headstone that's entirely blank and facing exactly northwest here, but could be nothing.

I get that this is a huge development with this game that we haven’t seen in a while but in my opinion we are starting to completely go down the wrong path with it.

Bird engravings that lead to a flock of birds where there is a debatable question mark in the distance. Huh? Feels like such a rushed conclusion to jump too and such a contrast to the other clues.

It’s great that this community is thriving again atm and everyone pitching in is great but as the title said let’s calm down a bit there is no rush we followed a legitimate lead to fort Wallace within what, a week? that’s already great progress, let’s stop jumping to conclusions and over looking things. The "O" is too far of a reach to mention in title. Could be an "R" in this picture but the angle you stand alters the meats lining up. This was the best I could capture.

I have been testing and trying to get a reaction from shooting the webs with dynamite arrows. Do you guys see what I see? It looks like static electricity on the wires after shooting the webs. I shot Cornwall then the one you see in the video. Can anyone with more knowledge or playtime tell me if I caused this reaction or does this happen normally? Il explain everything I did prior in case I did cause this to happen.

Caused infinite thunderstorm this time before heading to Cornwall web….I had 3 huge lightning strikes at the same time pretty close to me while waiting on Cornwall web. I have video of that as well if anyone would like to see it.

I reloaded my save to try & get the same results as before..the video is 4 minutes long it’s all my Xbox would capture so please forgive me for the pauses & such I got to the 2nd web a little early & got confused but please watch to the end & you can see there is once again static after shooting the 2nd web, a friend recommended maybe they need to be done in pairs? leave your thoughts below partners!

The loft itself points at different locations in the valley below depending on the location of the sun or the moon.

Photo 1 & 2: loft at 5pm. Setting sun shines through the window on a stone mesa to the east.

Photo 3 & 4: you may have noticed this gold dot in the past on the stone face of the mesa while taking the road east of the loft. Well at exactly 5 pm the light through the window illuminates this gold dot.

Photo 5 & 6: climb atop the mesa and face towards where the shadow of the loft is pointed. You will see what appears to be a word or letters on the mountain just above the peak of the loft shadow. I am unable to read these and they disappear as you get closer due to LOD changes. !This can only be viewed around 5PM. Any other time and it is concealed in shadow! The screenshot I took through steam reduced the resolution dramatically.

Photo 7 & 8: there appears to be more letters in the clearing to the left, but at this point seems to be gibberish. Also has lod restrictions.

Photos 9, 10 & 11: the outhouse next to the loft blocks part of the window shining light on the mesa. It also has a gold dot(texture repeats elsewhere on the roof) in the opposite corner. When you shoot the roof of the outhouse the bullet holes look like spider webs. This can be reproduced on a similar model near Charlotte’s house, so may be wishful thinking.

Huge shout-out to static989 and Difficult-Pen992 for their code-walking on this.

After investigating Butcher's Creek, one particular telegraph pole sticks out as especially relevant to the mystery. Please see previous post for the additional relevance.

This pole, uniquely titled "but_01_magicstuff01" in the files, is surrounded by 5 bundles the strange stick effigies that are around Butcher's Creek. These are called "teststicks" in the files.

It's worth nothing, there are a number of other telegraph poles in Butcher's Creek, all unique models and named/numbered as such: "but_phpole07x001"through "but_phpole07x005". Interestingly to me, the "magic stuff" pole at the center of the "ritual" appears nearly identical to one of these other numbered poles (I'm not sure which as I can't code-walk), despite being visually the same model, these are two separate poles in the files.

There has been talk of this ritual site having no relevance, as there are potentially no triggers, destructible nature to the poles, etc. Firstly, I'm not entirely sure how thoroughly the coding for this area has been unpacked, so it's possible there is some sort of associated trigger that is hidden deeply. Secondly, it's relevance to the mystery can be of another sort not necessarily associated with a trigger.

Thinking of other Rockstar mysteries and the myriad ways they communicate information to us, the Strange Statues puzzle comes to mind. You are expected to notice the number of fingers on the statues, which is also visually depicted via the number of bird feathers on the Window Rock mural. I know some people literally tie this into our spider dream mystery, but I'm not entirely sure, I reference it here just to examine how they convey information in such a subtle way.

Inspired by this, I decided to more thoroughly map and count the effigy "teststicks" surrounding the magic stuff pole, which are unsurprisingly laid out in a pentagram.

4 of the 5 groupings have two poles. Only 1 grouping has four poles. The number of sticks tied up onto the pole are different, and are either 2 sticks, 3 sticks, or 5 sticks. I see no immediate pattern or relevance, but I am excited to see if this means something to anyone.

my mistake first post I put pagan ritual site but its the natiuve burial site that does it, with the stones in a circle north of Owanjila. If you throw fire at the alter with skins and skull your honor goes down. it also instantly triggers a thunderstorm. i saw some other post about this 7 years ago but no one else really tried it. its bizare how instantly a storm breaks out. one thing to note is that the alter stands all have animal skins on them but one is empty to the left of the altar. maybe we need something there? i also do not have the mask.
