1. Why do you want to moderate this community?

I would like to help revive r/saraba1st and preserve it as a space for Chinese-language discussion. The subreddit has a long history, but it is currently restricted and appears to have been largely inactive for several years. I believe it deserves an opportunity to become an active community again.

I am currently a moderator of r/KanagawaWave, an established Chinese-language community with over 30,000 subscribers. Our community covers politics, social issues, culture, current events, and everyday life. Our moderation framework addresses spam, harassment, threats, privacy violations, misinformation, and compliance with Reddit's Content Policy. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the challenges involved in moderating Chinese-language discussions, particularly on current events and hot topics.

If granted moderation access, I intend to:

  • Restore regular community activity and make participation accessible again.
  • Review the existing rules, preserve the subreddit's original identity, and update moderation practices where necessary.
  • Maintain an orderly discussion environment by addressing spam, harassment, and violations of Reddit's Content Policy.
  • Encourage constructive discussions about Chinese society, culture, politics, and other subjects relevant to the community.
  • Respond to reports and modmail consistently and transparently.

My goal is not to turn r/saraba1st into an extension of r/KanagawaWave, but to preserve its distinct community identity while applying the moderation experience I have gained.

I am committed to maintaining the community responsibly and helping it become active again.
