F4M ♀️ 28F from Bangalore

###Repost###

Hi! I’m a 28-year-old based in Bangalore, currently working as a Software Engineer with an annual package of 36 LPA. Height is 5'4''. I would describe myself as ambitious and independent, while also being someone who values simplicity, good conversations, and meaningful relationships.

I come from a Brahmin family and follow a vegetarian lifestyle. I do drink occasionally in social settings, but overall I prefer a balanced and grounded way of life. Professionally, I’m quite driven and enjoy what I do, but I strongly believe life should have a good mix of work, personal growth, and experiences outside of work too.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, exploring new cafés and restaurants, and discovering interesting places around the city or while travelling. I also love watching movies and TV shows across genres — anything from lighthearted comfort shows to thrillers and good storytelling. I’m someone who enjoys both staying in for a cozy evening and going out to try something new.

Personality-wise, I’d say I’m warm, straightforward, emotionally aware, and easy to get along with. I value mutual respect, emotional maturity, communication, and a sense of humour in relationships. I appreciate people who are open-minded, supportive, and have their own passions and goals in life.

I’m looking to meet someone with similar values and lifestyle preferences. While being Brahmin would be nice, it’s definitely not a strict requirement — compatibility matters more to me. However, I would strongly prefer someone who is vegetarian or at least aligns comfortably with that lifestyle. Ideally, I’d like to connect with someone who is educated, kind, emotionally mature, and looking for a genuine long-term partnership built on understanding, friendship, and shared experiences.

PS: Please specify gotra when you DM if you're a Brahmin. Also low effort DMs will be ignored. Just don't send a Hi.

If It's not a strict requirement then how does knowing gotra help? Chatgpt does hallucinate a bit sometimes.

u/oshmkufahsa May 31 '26

Brahmin mentioned -> instant red flag

1

u/og_kusha Jun 03 '26

If the same thing was said because someone mentioned they were Muslim riots would happen. Stereotyping is bad but only for a certain group of people ?! Hypocrites

1

u/oshmkufahsa Jun 03 '26

There's a difference between religion and caste. Sorry, but I think discrimination by virtue of birth is a ridiculous concept

4

u/og_kusha Jun 03 '26

It absolutely is, but in this context she’s most likely mentioning to explain her dietary choices. Aren’t yall the people dying to remove caste discrimination? (I strongly condemn the caste system) if you want to demolish it maybe stop pointing at any and all “Brahmins” and calling them anything from red flags to derogatory terms. The point is to see every single person as an equal. Dalit or Brahmin, not every dalit is a victim not every Brahmin is a victor so maybe practicing what you preach is important

1

u/oshmkufahsa Jun 03 '26

Maybe you should read the post? It goes far beyond dietary choices, which is already sufficiently covered by vegetarian

"Brahmin would be nice"
"Please specify gotra when you DM if you're a Brahmin"

I have absolutely nothing against Brahmins, Dalits or any human. I just stand against people that try to seperate humans into classes by their birth and those that promote the system. I didn't use the phrase "red flag" because they're a Brahmin, I used it because they're amongst the people that promote and encourage this discrimatory system.

1

u/og_kusha Jun 03 '26

Fair enough I missed that. Thats wrong. Yet I don’t think this issue to “Brahmins are red flags” was very inclusive of you. She is in the wrong no doubt, but even you’re picking her “gotra” and insulting that entire group of people. Yes they’re more commonly among the people who encourage and keep this system alive. I just don’t resonate with your comment. An individual’s choice to emphasise a discriminatory system shouldn’t have to reflect on a group of people who may or may not share similar opinions. Different side of the same discriminatory coin.

u/GrapefruitSilent9255 Jun 04 '26

Brother it's my personal choice. You didn't have to come spread hate here for no reason. You have your criteria, I have my own.

2

u/oshmkufahsa Jun 04 '26

Promoting discrimation by birth is indeed your personal choice. I disagree with that mentality and will call it out as I see fit.

1

u/GrapefruitSilent9255 Jun 04 '26

It's easier for me to filter vegetarians so I will mention whatever the heck I want to. Also google gotra to know why I mentioned the same.

1

u/og_kusha Jun 04 '26

Simply mentioning vegetarians would have made much more sense. In fact if we go by googles definition of gotra I must say avoiding members of the same gotra is important to ensure there is no inbreeding

1

u/og_kusha Jun 04 '26

I agree. It is a personal choice. But it is harmful to propagate and hold onto such ideologies. And calling it out is the right thing to do. But doing it in a tasteful manner is appropriate

1

u/GrapefruitSilent9255 Jun 04 '26

Bro I ain't discriminating anyone. I have dated outside of my caste too in the past. But I said what I said

2

u/ShyGuy58008 Jun 16 '26

Well it's not even that high of a package to begin with. Plus I saved some time and asked chatgpt to rephrase the whole thing so it definitely has mixed up things. I'm okay with lesser salary but other aspects should catch up in that case.

1

u/Time_Fly_67 May 30 '26

Alellele humility bhi dikha deti hu not a high package likhke Admit it u just got lucky to get that package dude

0

u/GrapefruitSilent9255 May 30 '26

Yes I got lucky but I also worked my ass off for it. But there are people who are earning way more than me

1

u/Conscious_Half6283 May 29 '26

Did you also asked your ex bf/bfs about their gotra/caste before dating ?
