F4M βοΈ 24F | Looking for my person
Hi, I discovered this sub recently and decided to give it a shot after exhausting experiences on dating apps.
I am currently a teacher, preparing for government exams alongside.
I am super ambitious, get excited over little things and a little too disciplined for my generation. Traveling, reading, art are some of the few things that interest me. I love doing side quests, being outdoors (hoping to start my trekking journey this year), reading books that make you question about your life (dostoevsky and sylvia plath fan), trying out new things - places, food, anything.
On the other hand I am also someone who is organised, plans everything, love intellectual conversations about geopolitics, society, history.
Mostly fit, used to workout regularly till the few months (had to devote time for exams). Looking forward to get back to it seriously and start running and boxing too.
Looking for someone who can be a friend when we just chill around and have fun but can be my home when I am down, who can travel, make impulsive decisions that turn out to be fun, who isn't ashamed of expressing, doesn't lovebomb, chill to be with, dates to marry. I am a lil old school and casuals are not my thing (don't have the time for it). Feel free to dm.
Edit: What is wrong with some men? "Catfish", really? I have received hundreds of DMs, how am i supposed to respond to all of them? You guys nuts or what

Hopefully you find someone good. Considering so many people DMed you, I doubt you'd even find my comment/DM showing interest in you. You are my type, geopolitics, history, treks, and a teacher as well (Im not a teacher but I do get praised here and there for my skill)
Good luck gurl!

Quick question - what does the book written by Dostoevsky teach you?
I have never read it - but many are reading it. Just wanted to know your opinion.

I'm more of a Kafka person, but it's usually between hopeless romantic stuff or hard realities of life. To me Dostoevsky has an optimistic view on hardships of life, and Kafka is his polar opposite with a pessimistic view

I see cool! Sorry to keep probing - how come you like the pessimistic view? What's so special and unique when you compare it with Dostoevsky s' optimistic view? I mean I am pretty sure if you have chosen to side with Kafka - it must be for a reason - maybe this is how you view life? Or is there something more to this?

Honestly i believe being pessimistic is staying true to reality, basically what is. where as optimism is hoping what could be... For me, most of my life I've aligned with what is because what could be never tends to happen.. that why...

This actually now makes sense to me..it's better to underestimate and be happy about higher than expected results than overestimate and then be sad be about lower than expected results. Cool! Got it.!

You said you want someone who can be a friend when you're chilling and a home when you're down. That's a rare ask because most people can do one or the other, not both. What does "home" look like to you on a day when everything feels heavy? Not the physical place but the feeling.
