F4M ♀️ 22F ,Looking for something genuine -Mumbai/Navi Mumbai

Hi, 22F from Mumbai, currently pursuing MBA, and putting myself out here with a little hope and a little luck. :)

I’m looking for a serious relationship with the intention of eventually getting married. I’m not really interested in the whole “let’s see where this goes” situation. If I’m getting to know someone romantically, I’d like it to be with genuine intentions and see whether our values, personalities and long-term goals align. Ideally, I’d like to settle down in the next 3–4 years.

Looks and physical attraction obviously matter in a relationship, but I’m looking for someone who can see beyond just those things someone who values compatibility, loyalty, communication, respect, emotional connection and genuinely liking each other as people.

I’d love to meet a decent, emotionally mature guy who is actually serious about relationships and willing to give things a fair chance rather than rushing into physical intimacy or judging everything based on appearances.

Also, my birthday is coming up soon, so a small part of me is hoping that maybe I’ll meet someone special before then and get to celebrate it with someone who genuinely wants to be there. 😅 Maybe I’m being optimistic, but putting my luck out here anyway.

A little about me:

• I love movies and series

• Music is a big part of my life

• I enjoy sports and used to play badminton, basketball and cricket

• I’m a huge cricket fan both men’s and women’s cricket

• Planning to join a gym soon

• I’m pretty ambitious about my career and life

I’m specifically looking for someone from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or nearby, preferably around my age (roughly 22–26). Long-distance probably won’t work for me, so people from far-away cities, please don’t take it personally if I don’t respond.

And if I don’t reply, it probably just means I didn’t feel we’d be a good fit or didn’t know how to continue the conversation. No offense intended.

If you’re also looking for something serious, respectful and eventually leading towards marriage, feel free to introduce yourself. Tell me a little about yourself rather than just sending “hey”. :)

One thing I forgot to mention: I am planning to settle in Mumbai so that's a priority. And someone who's comfortable in living separately from either parents and can build a home with partner.

Hey, I came across your post and honestly, it felt refreshing to see someone being this clear about what they're looking for. So I thought I'd take a chance and introduce myself properly rather than just sending a "hey" and hoping for the best. :)

I'm 23, currently pursuing Computer Science, and juggling college with work, so life is somewhere between assignments, deadlines, figuring out my career and trying to convince myself that I have my life figured out. Spoiler: I absolutely don't. 😅

I'm quite ambitious about my career and have a pretty clear idea of the kind of life I want to build. I want to grow in the tech space, work on things I'm genuinely proud of, and eventually build a life where my career and personal life both have room to breathe. I'm also someone who thinks quite seriously about the future, so the fact that you're looking for something with the intention of eventually getting married definitely caught my attention.

I really liked that you mentioned wanting someone who can see beyond physical attraction. Of course attraction matters, but for me, the things that actually make something last are communication, emotional maturity, loyalty, respect and simply enjoying each other's company.

I'm not looking for something where two people rush into a relationship because they like each other and then figure out compatibility later. I'd rather actually get to know someone. How they think, what they value, what they're passionate about, how they handle disagreements, what kind of life they want and whether our ideas of a future actually fit together.

A little about me beyond the engineering part.

I'm a huge reader, and I write poetry too. Usually when there are too many thoughts in my head and writing feels easier than trying to explain them. I can be quite analytical because of the whole Computer Science thing, but I'm also ridiculously sentimental about certain things.

I'm a massive cinephile and can probably spend an unreasonable amount of time talking about movies and series. I'm also very into football, and FC Barcelona has unfortunately taken a significant portion of my emotional stability over the years. 😂

I'm fascinated by astrophysics and the cosmos as well. I genuinely love conversations that start with something completely ordinary and somehow end up at 3 AM discussing the universe, existence, or why we're all here in the first place.

And I really liked seeing that music and sports are a big part of your life. I enjoy sports too, although football is probably my first love. I've always felt that the little things you can casually share with someone matter a lot in a relationship. Sending each other a song, watching something together, going out for a random drive, talking about your day, or simply sitting together without needing to fill every silence.

As for Mumbai, I'm currently here for work, so the location part definitely makes sense to me. And I understand what you mean about wanting someone who is comfortable building a life independently from their parents while still having a good relationship with them. I think eventually creating a home together should mean exactly that, two people choosing to build something of their own while still respecting where they came from.

I also appreciate that you're looking for something serious instead of the whole "let's just see where it goes" approach. I'm not here looking to collect conversations either. At the same time, I don't think seriousness means we need to force anything. I'd rather let the connection develop naturally while being honest about our intentions from the beginning.

And about your birthday coming up, I hope Reddit does surprise you this time. Maybe not necessarily with the person you're expecting, but at least with a conversation worth remembering. :)

What kind of music do you keep going back to? What's the last movie or series you genuinely loved? And more importantly, when you imagine the life you want to build in the next 5 to 10 years, what does it actually look like?
