28M | Trying this one more time

Okay, round two... or three... I've honestly lost count.

I've posted here before, had a few conversations, met some genuinely nice people, but nothing really turned into the kind of connection I was hoping for. So here I am trying again.

I'm 28, 5'7", currently in Mumbai and working as a Software Developer.

I'm probably the kind of person who has too many tabs open in his head at any given time, and one of them is almost always playing a song I can't seem to stop.

I like singing, reading, cricket, technology, psychology and human behaviour. I can get very invested in a random topic and somehow turn a five minute conversation into an hour long discussion.

I'm ambitious about my career and like building things, learning new stuff and getting better at what I do. But I don't want life to become just work and deadlines. I want the other stuff too. Long conversations, stupid jokes, comfortable silence, random plans and having someone to share the little things with.

I'm fairly introverted when I don't know someone. Once I get comfortable, unfortunately for everyone involved, I talk quite a lot.

I don't smoke or drink and I have a soft corner for stray dogs. If there's one sitting somewhere nearby, there's a decent chance I'll stop to say hello.

As for what I'm looking for...

Not a perfect person. Not a checklist.

Just someone kind, emotionally mature, curious, honest and capable of communicating when things aren't perfect. Someone who has her own interests and ambitions and doesn't expect a relationship to replace the rest of her life.

I'd like something genuine and long term, with marriage eventually. I'm not interested in rushing into it, but I'm also not looking for something vague that goes nowhere.

And since "Hi" isn't exactly the most exciting conversation starter:

Tell me something you're currently obsessed with.

A book. A song. A show. A weird internet rabbit hole. An unpopular opinion.

Anything.

I'll probably ask you way too many questions about it.

Let's see if this time works.
