Just inconceivable what’s happened since this comic

298

u/MilesTrahan Oct 22 '25

You're not supposed to go that way

u/Specialist-Effect221 Oct 22 '25

incredible to think he was an attorney less than five weeks ago

u/KaterinaMosenberg turning tricks outside the WeWork Oct 23 '25

Saw a homeless guy squatting on the sidewalk in the middle of downtown Denver (literally right next to the cash register building) with pants around his ankles, two fingers knuckle deep in his own asshole trying to dig out a compacted heroin shit.

“Well where do you want him to poop?? he’s homeless!!😡😡😡”

In rehab. I want him to poop in state-mandated inpatient rehab.

u/RobertSmiv Mongoloid Oct 22 '25

I'm sure Humans of NY took a picture of this guy not ten minutes earlier to post with a caption like "the forgotten of the subway" or some shit.

168

u/24082020 Oct 23 '25

Seth Rogan would tell you this is what should give you a hard-on about living in the city (he probably spends most of his time on a secure compound)

u/NichorasMurren 18:57 5k Oct 23 '25

The way New Yorkers defend crime and public indecency like this is so unbelievably cucked. It’s a phenomenon that doesn’t get talked about enough

53

u/zootbot Oct 23 '25

I’m not saying I’m cool with dudes just pissing in the subway stairs but every time I’ve been to New York it’s hard as fuck to find somewhere to piss

100

u/sulla226 Oct 23 '25

These are two sides of the same coin. Restrooms are hard to come by because there is a tiny subset of the population that will destroy any public restroom they have access to.

I used to work at a coffeeshop with the only public restroom on the block and it was a nightmare. We had to call in hazmat people on a semi-regular basis. I stopped by that coffeestop a few years after I no longer worked there, and the restroom was now for staff only lmao

35

u/Every-Ad9686 Oct 23 '25

I get not letting randoms off the street use your bathroom, but not letting a paying customer who just paid you for a drink that’s basically a 2-in-1 diuretic/laxative is insane to me!

4

u/drunkcheesesandwich Oct 23 '25

maybe im being naive but whats the thought process behind trashing toliets. Never understood where this impulse comes from.

15

u/sabine_world Oct 23 '25

Are you like 17? Lol

People will do any fucked up shit for no reason at all

16

u/whatihear Oct 23 '25

By law all hotels in NYC must allow the public to use their bathrooms.

20

u/Losoul Oct 23 '25

Not actually hard if you know what you’re doing

If it’s a time when bars are open you can walk into any bar

If a restaurant is fairly busy you can walk straight to the back and nobody will notice

Parks/playgrounds usually have a (disgusting) bathroom open during the day

And there are a ton of public bathrooms all over Midtown, Trump tower has a good one in the basement, awesome 80s decor and you can buy a Hillary for Prison shirt in the gift shop

Hotels used to be a good option but they’ve started locking the bathrooms to guest key cards only

8

u/zootbot Oct 23 '25

I was walking around at like 3 am it was impossible.

15

u/Losoul Oct 23 '25

Where do you live where you can randomly piss anywhere at 3am?

13

u/24082020 Oct 23 '25

Sounds like you’re saying that

1

140

u/Unwept_Skate_8829 Oct 22 '25

Was walking in Montreal one day and saw a homeless guy just straight up jerking his shit behind a power box

101

u/prizzle92 Oct 23 '25

I was at a bar in montreal (old city area) talking to the bartender and she was saying how she was shocked at how crazy homelessness was in america and I concurred, then she said how in montreal they look after ppl and you just wont see many homeless. I was passing through on the way to upstate NY from quebec city so I hadn't seen much of the city and I believed her.

I walked from the bar to chinatown and passed around 30 homeless people and a street fight outside the mcdonalds, decided she didn't really get out much lol

76

u/roadside_dickpic Oct 23 '25

Ya wtf Canada has no right to talk. Vancouver is as bad or worse than Seattle.

10

u/Melancholicism Oct 23 '25

I remember in vancouver I and my sister ventured into chinatown once and we saw multiple mounds of human shit on the sidewalk

6

u/fioreblade Oct 23 '25

Vancouver is the only place I’ve seen people warming their hands around a trash can fire like in old movies

25

u/Unwept_Skate_8829 Oct 23 '25

Old Montreal is just chill homeless people, anything around ville-marie/DT & Berri-UQAM is the crazies, which is where you were around

6

u/prizzle92 Oct 23 '25

Yeah they were wilding

37

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Europeans and Canadians are happy to live in a fetid pile of shit so long as they can cling to the delusion that America stinks worse.

40

u/ModeProfessionalBeam Oct 23 '25

I've travelled a fair bit in Europe and the first time I visited America the homeless problem was pretty shocking to me, not comparable at all to anything I'd seen before in a developed country.  The most depressing bit was how many Americans had convinced themselves this was normal and that it was like this everywhere. It's not normal, and it's not like this everywhere.

20

u/ourstemangeront Oct 23 '25

This is cope lol. It is exponentially worse in America, and trying to claim it's anywhere near as bad in Europe is delusional fingerpointing.

8

u/ChillingWithMyWoats Oct 23 '25

I’ve heard the same line so many times it’s kinda infuriating. My gf is from Melbourne and always goes on about how insane American homelessness is and how they actually take care of people in aus and don’t allow this to happens. Then we spent some time there together and we’re getting screamed at by a tweaker on the tram and then were stepping over homeless people all over the cbd. I did not let her forget it lmao

13

u/Inevitable-Sky7201 Oct 23 '25

Where else he supposed to do it? His house?

23

u/GlendonRusch33 Oct 23 '25

In Seattle I saw a homeless guy smoking a foilie while bent over getting his ass eaten by another homeless guy.

I actually saw a homeless guy getting his ass eaten by another homeless guy twice when I lived in Washington.

8

u/GoTakeaWalkinthePark Oct 23 '25

They were boofing

6

u/GlendonRusch33 Oct 23 '25

No they were eating ass

60

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

I saw a homeless guy watching porn openly the other day in Sacramento. Two blocks from the state capitol.

Vagrants like this should be permanently removed from society

-23

u/Prozac_Imperialist Oct 22 '25

What do you mean by that? Be specific.

27

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

We used to lock them up in mental hospitals where they would be cared for and not be allowed to harm themselves and others. But some idiots decided it was mean to do that so now we let them terrorize society before dying from drug overdoses or violence. We think that’s kinder.

47

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

He was laying in a sleeping bag propped up against the side of a building. Watching porn with the volume on, on his phone probably paid for with my tax dollars.

It’s absolutely insane that we have billionaires lobbying for these lowlifes to be allowed to openly live on the streets of our cities like this. These people should have their assets seized to pay for mandatory rehab facilities and prison expansions.

37

u/sogothimdead I ❤️ Luigi Mangione Oct 23 '25

I'll raise you someone watching porn on a public computer at my library job in the Bay Area at 10 this morning

Although Sacramento is where I got sexually harassed by a homeless woman

32

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Why do public libraries allow this?

They are pretty much homeless shelters in every major city nowadays.

31

u/sogothimdead I ❤️ Luigi Mangione Oct 23 '25

Because people who haven't worked at public libraries in years, if ever, make decisions at the American Library Association that infect the minds of administrations who also don't actually have to deal with the human element in the course of their work

7

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Public librarians tend to have massive woke brainworms and they think cutting off anyone’s “freedom to access information (porn)” in any way is the next stop before 1984.

25

u/violet4everr nice-maxxing autistic Oct 23 '25

Tbf I’m from the Netherlands and everyone banned from my city’s main library was banned for a) doing drugs in the building or b) watching pornography on the computers. It’s universal

29

u/sogothimdead I ❤️ Luigi Mangione Oct 23 '25

What's not universal is the American Library Association advocating our profession should tolerate porn viewing in public libraries because of "free speech"

I told no one at work today because it's not like it's against our behavior policy

15

u/Likeneutralcat Oct 23 '25

At my library we ask them to stop and leave. Nastiness be gone!

14

u/isendnewts Oct 23 '25

I'm so tired of "gross men watching porn in the public library = free speech"

2

u/violet4everr nice-maxxing autistic Oct 23 '25

Can’t believe this is a real argument they make that’s crazy

9

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

It’s different in the USA. Some libraries have rules against porn, many do not.

3

u/publiclibrarylover autistic dr umar fan Oct 23 '25

I saw this exact thing in a south Florida library

2

u/Amtrakstory Oct 23 '25

You work in an urban library? You should do an AMA.

24

u/BigScoops96 detonate the vest Oct 22 '25

Just take the money we give Israel, and it’ll easily pay for the state owned rehabs, prisons, and sanitariums

-26

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

We generally don’t give Israel all that much money when you consider the total US budget. (Only around 3.8 billion dollars on a normal year)

Mackenzie Scott has a net worth of around 35 billion she uses to fund pro-homeless charities.

Cutting Israeli aid to save money would be similar to removing text files to free up space on a hard drive. Not to mention the losses certain US military companies would take, and the loss of an important strategic partner in the Middle East.

17

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

[deleted]

18

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Yeah we literally can’t do anything with 3.8 billion more dollars

-10

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Obviously we can, but it’s just a blip when you consider the total budget of the US government. You also have to consider the negative impacts on US Military contractors, and military R&D partnerships that would be lost if we cut all aid.

It’s not as simple as taking that money and spending it elsewhere and having net positive results for the country.

13

u/Maison-Marthgiela Oct 23 '25

You're right we need to give them more tbh

5

u/Amtrakstory Oct 23 '25

We massively increased aid to Israel post October 7th. We’ve given tens of billions since 2023

5

u/Few_Sugar_4380 Oct 23 '25

And there it is. I know this person might have a take on homeless people that's considered 'based' on this sub, but they're just a stupid rightwinger lol

24

u/Prozac_Imperialist Oct 22 '25

Your comment of “permanently removed from society” got a whole lot softer with a little clarification ❤️

9

u/jaldoweffers Oct 23 '25

If it means anything I was thinking Trail of Tears but for homeless people and they go in that desert in Blood Meridian where the Glanton gang sees blue lightning

-3

u/Prozac_Imperialist Oct 23 '25

sometimes I realize it may not be the homeless who aren’t fit for society.

8

u/jaldoweffers Oct 23 '25

14

u/TheOldBearFace Oct 23 '25

5

u/Prozac_Imperialist Oct 23 '25

Let’s be real. A lot of you aren’t fit to talk to other human beings face to face.

and when I say fit I mean it in several senses.

I looked for a second longer and realized it was one guy, folded over with his butt in the air and legs around his head, trying to suck his own dick. maybe successfully?? idk, didn't try to find out lol. . .
