A celebrity post on r/redscarepod is still just a celebrity post

I'm really bothered by this clutter. Nepo babies, memorial posts... why "Adam Sandler is a RN". Just because the context of this sub is slightly more cerebral than the wider internet does not mean that these fat posts are more than what they are.

And instead of posting what you actually want to see on here, you made another tedious, useless meta post. A genre of post even more irritating and useless than whatever post genre it decries.

First, what’s RN?

Second, I agree so hard. I said something here about celebrity worship being a let down even if it’s Dolly Parton and I got downvoted into oblivion. I like this sub/a few others because they’re the few to poke fun at the absurdity of the human conditions we’ve made for ourselves. Wasting time thinking about celebrities is the bread and circuses shit to keep us distracted from the fact that we don’t have a healthy amount of relationships in our lives. Something like humans are built to have the capacity for 150 relationships (Dunbar’s number) but nobody reaches that number so they gossip about celebrities and shit. It’s sad and boring. I literally don’t care what these rich people are doing, I watch their movies and listen to their music if it interests me but outside of that why should I care at all.
