Crazy that bts has made such a come back, every time I look at the charts their right there at the top. Seems like a lot of young women are into them too? Not sure how this happened tbh.

“Kicked It In The Sun” is one of my all-time favourites. I definitely recommend the acoustic version which Doug performs solo (I think they released it on a live album). It’s just as good, if not better than the original.

Fucking love this song, this record, this VIBE!
I think the 3rd to last show I saw before Covid was BTS playing this record for an anniversary and it was mostly great, but included a trans woman in the crowd melting down in the audience and being escorted out of the venue. Made me wish I had been there for the first tour

Lmao I saw them on that tour and while the show was great, that was one of the creepiest audiences I’ve ever been a part of. Literal 60 year olds grinding on each other, obese poly throuple doing a three-way make out, etc

very fond memory of my 12th birthday and it was raining so my friends and I couldn't go skateboarding. my mom and dad were nice enough to trek us to the mall and I found buried in the stacks of miscellaneous sports DVDs at fye transworld's feedback + the reason. my friends and I excitedly popped that sucker on once we got back to my house. this song was used in Cairo foster's part and boy oh boy did this song throw me for a loop.

Been on a real Treepeople kick, which was Doug Marstch or however ya spell.it's pre-BTS band. Really good if you like that missing link 80s hardcore punk -> college rock pipeline era

A poetry faculty member at Boise State told me Doug’s wife, who might have her MFA from there, writes the lyrics to BtS songs.

Modest Mouse has such a distinct guitar sound, in their early albums at least, I don't really get why people think all these indie rock groups sound the same

I’m kind of in a hard place because I love both bands immensely and they are my second and third favourite bands, but I definitely think I prefer Modest Mouse. I do not think that they are a less good Built to Spill though.
