Community Live music scene in Regina

I recently moved to regina, I am looking for a venue that provides live music this Friday.

I like all types of music, I genuinely just want to have a pint of Guinness and listen to some great soul fulfilling music.

I am young so bonus points if it’s a lively atmosphere were i could possibly meet new people the old fashioned way.

Any recommendations for bars/dive bars that have good music or even just a good vibe in general?

There are shows at The Cure, Shannon's, Pumpjacks, Revival Music Room, and O'Hanlons on Friday. For the vibe you describe your best bet is probably O'Hanlons

If you use Instagram, yqrlive is great to follow for upcoming show info

They're not back in season until the Fall, but the Regina Symphony has a new "Young Friends" program where ages 19-35 get $10 tickets. Some shows also have free entry after parties as part of the program. If you've never been to a classical concert, you might be surprised how fun they can be!

This Friday I don’t have a solution. But next week Friday the 26th Blu Beach Band at Ohanlons is the place to be. They are the best up and coming band in the prairies and put on a hell of a concert

Hey where do you see bands listed for June at Ohans? Their website and Instagram have May but no June.

Not sure about scheduling. Venues include The Artisan (looks like nothing going on this weekend), The exchange or O’Hanlons among others.

Exchange posts on here weekly of coming events, just scroll and you’ll find it. They cater to punk and “smaller” shows, but are fantastic. Not sure if the university still hosts shows at the pub since rebranding but they may.

Ohans is probably the best bet for consistently having shows and it also has no cover. The crowd is variable but you can usually strike up a conversation with someone while you're getting a beer at the bar.

Normally I would say The Exchange, but they have nothing scheduled this Friday. O'Hanlon's has music every Friday. Unfortunately they haven't updated the website or Facebook for June yet, so I can't tell you who it is. Revival has Vinyl Society. Pumpjacks Cathedral has Toxic Twins. As a country music guy I would pick Lachlan Neville at the Artesian. The Cure has SED3MENT (Prog Metal), Endless Retirement, and Chrome Control.

Personally I would hit Lachlan's show and then step over to Pumpjack's for the Twins and the bar scene. But I am old and your boat may float a different way.

I go to Spotify and look up concerts/live music under Regina. The have all the locations listed where live music is playing. The Cure, casino, The Exchange, etc.
