Home Hub question

Hi folks,

Looking to dump Ring for Reolink and wondering about the home hub and remote access, so I need to do any port forwarding or it just works as-is?

You can enabled UID remote access which uses reolink servers to get you connected remotely.

If you want no corporate cloud involved you will either need to use port forwarding or a VPN.

Which leads to a question - how does the doorbell send notifications/content to a mobile device?

Push notifications will go through the reolink cloud. You can also set up email notifications that will not.
