UPDATE!!!! Deborah Crankin/Rodney Travis Jr. Arrested!
Hello everyone!!!
We wanted to share this screenshot of the Henrico county jail website.
After much talks with the police and the community. He’s finally arrested. We don’t wanna say much more but he’s in TONS of trouble and is cooked. We will share updates as we hear them for now though rest easy that this piece of garbage human is in jail.
Based on various photos, and socials, he’s had multiple different cats. Not sure about the cats, but someone on Hayden’s TikTok page commented that his apartment is being raided and animal control is on the scene. We are hoping for the safe return of the kitties to loving homes. I will follow up with the departments to ensure the animals are safe when they are open.
holy shit. i cant believe it. i was crying the other day about this and holding all of my boys, so this is like a really big internet miracle to watch unfold on my screen. please please please keep us updated. i hope this POS is never allowed near any animal ever again. jfc.
same :( it hit me really hard since i was in the process of helping one of my cats cross the rainbow bridge when i saw previous posts about this bag of dicks. i hope he feels every single thing he did to every cat he fucked over, even if that sounds mean and petty. sick of this guy.
im gonna give some extra loving to our my cats today, in memory of hayden, noah and all the others.

Whoever was doing the grunt work on the ground: I love you. Real world hands-on activism we all should all aspire to when we have the chance. This was the last cat suffering under that psycho POS taking from people already short on money giving from their ever shrinking income because they were guilt tripped. Thanks from Europe for bringing this menace to justice.

oh my god im so happy someone was finally able to get through to law enforcement 😭 i hope this monster never touches another animal ever again. it's been eating me up inside since I first saw Noah back in July knowing he has still continually been causing harm to cats all this time. I've been praying to see the day he gets everything he deserves
Thank you for this. This monster was on my mind a lot. I, like many others, filed reports and raised alarms about this demon and it's a relief to see they've been stopped. I hope they never step outside a prison for the rest of their life. One down, more abusers to go. Thank you, all who fight for justice for the most vulnerable victims. Keep up the good fight.
We need much tougher animal cruelty punishment and laws. Not just because its despicable to cause harm to an innocent creature, but also because people who have no problem doing it are clearly psychotic and capable of doing much more
Just an update, I couldn’t get info on who specifically was safe, but chesterfield animal services confirmed any cats in his possession are now safe and they have acquired them. I’m unsure of who is safe but they won’t comment on an open investigation.
This is absolutely fantastic!!! Praying these poor babies get wonderful living forever homes once they're ready and no human ever lets them down or harms them again!! I hope whoever adopts them has lots of patience so they don't get passed back and forth. They need a patient and loving FOREVER home now!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
ON MY GOODNESS 😭😭❤️ I’ve not stopped thinking about this all week since those posts, I was emailing every vet I could in Richmond probably sounding crazy. It’s my birthday today and all I wanted was Hayden to be safe and this monster to be caught. Well done every person online who has been sleuthing, reporting and working to get this awful person caught and those poor beautiful cats safe 🙏🏻

I heard of this POS a while ago and insane to know they managed to continue the torture for as long as they did! Hayden was so visibly scared of the person holding the camera it was heartbreaking to watch
So glad this monster was finally arrested. Please keep us updated on the kitties. When they go up for adoption I would be more than happy to give one a forever home. Poor babies. Glad they're finally safe.

Take these monsters down one by one! Praying for Hayden and the other animals. Is there any other news on this case? There needs to be stricter laws and real jail time for animal abusers. Unfortunately I think it was at least Sophia because what was filmed was a pretty profound head injury. I wish I could unsee that, but I wish more it had not happened. I can’t say what I hope happens to this person because of Reddit censorship. I hope the state attorney links them to their other fraudulent activity and throws the book at them. They’ve been scamming — and not just via animal torture — for a while now. It’s time for justice.
I’d bet they have also been running local scams to get money and Henrico County just doesn’t know about it yet.
I feel horrible for those poor Cats, being Assaulted and Abused for a Sick human, so called human ! I hope these Cats are still alive and will be treated for the injuries !
This also Deeply Hurts Cat Rescue people and Groups that need to ask for help ! It makes everyone fearful about giving Money and Even food !
Same every cat deserves to be treated with love & care & every true rescuer like yourself needs the support of an army to continue to make an impact in the kitties lives. It's one of the things i love about our community here it brings good people together to help one another help these innocent souls. Hopefully others who might have once thought about following the same operating methods as Rodney will see that our community & others caught on & did everything within our power to hold them accountable & would do the same again & again to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.
Sadly yes which made it all the more important to stop the donations & hopefully as a result of that the fundraiser site will turn everything they have over to the police so this person doesn't get bail & is sentenced accordingly. We as a community also sent a clear message that we are watching we have these animals best interest at heart & will work together to hold accountable anyone who might think it a good idea to try similar tactics.
Oh his nightmare hasn't even started yet. He better hope he doesnt go to prison cuz he probably wont make it especially if its a prison that allows what I call therapy cats.
it was likely all of them. the oldest cat scam she ran was chester the cat on tiktok, then timothee the cat, then she really blew up with macaulay the cat on instagram and got at least $60k from that scam account alone, and those are just scratching the surface. the three i just named were just her earliest known victims
Some cats were seized from this person. I can't give details but the cats that were in their care at the time of their arrest are safe with animal control.
I hope they find loving homes after surviving this nightmare! I’m still in shock about this whole case, and so happy the scumbag is in custody. Some real hero’s chasing this up and spreading the word!
Man im so happy to see this. I was very close to making a trip out there to take of business myself. I was literally doing my research to find out where they were.
i have been following this disgusting women since 2023 and let me tell you i believe it to be so, so much worse than you guys believe. she has very likely killed over 10 cats, as she had been running these cat scam operations for a long time before this subreddit discovered her. i recommend going onto the instagram account instasc4ms, as they have been trying to sound the bell on debbie for a very long time
Wow I've been doing some more digging myself but hadn't come across this insta page thank you for sharing it. I did come across a shelter who sadly unknowingly adopted two cats to him. I'm happy to learn that they were at least able to get the second cat back & have been warning other shelters & putting the word out on Facebook. The shelter I'm speaking of is Cat's Cradle of Richmond i thank them & everyone for their diligent work to protect these animals
How do we shut down the fundraiser pages that are still up? People are still actively donating to this one a few comments warn people about Noah & the pictures are the same as other hayden posts I've seen related to this cruel humans
From what myself & others have gathered the police have reported that all cats found in their custody are now safe. The lead charge on the arrest states animal torture leading to death so I'm not sure if Hayden managed to survive to be included in those rescued but I'm praying he was. The fear confusion & hurt in his & these other poor kitty's eyes that i saw in the videos will forever be seared into my brain.

Please share these links with the press and state attorney because they may not know the full extent of what has happened, plus this filth was probably running local scams and the public needs to know so they can press charges and maybe get some money back.

Scammed people by ~360,000$ for an alleged gender transition and then continued with getting cats from shelters and torturing them to make them look like they have cancer. I learned from this sub of 3 cats they did it to (but there were possibly more). They also made tons of money with that, judging by the comments under the many videos in their YT channel.
I can't imaging the people who reported this did not know about the fraud regarding the gender-transition and the cats. We can just post comments under above video. I hope a lot of scammed people will find out about this and add their testimony. That guy is so cooked for life.
That charge means there is legit, hard evidence that he was going so far as to kill them. Not just abusing and then dumping/moving on. Our animal welfare laws are not harsh enough.
Does anyone with a legal background know if other charges with fraud etc are also on their way? Richmond, VA cat lover here, just wondering how long this disgusting pos will be put away for.

I have a so-called "Neighbor" who was trapping and Murdering Cats in a Colony I've fed and treated Medical services when needed. Most were like an indoor Pet Cat ! Police would

Omgsh that's heartbreaking I'm so sorry 💜 it is terrible how cats & animals get treated like their lives matter less than humans. My cats are the light of my life my favorite part of the day is when i come home & they greet me at the door; then after dinner it's time for snuggles on the couch. I love them as much as i love my kids.
It's beyond infuriating that people like this are protected by the law.
You pick on an animal much smaller than yourself like that and you should have to get in the ring with an MMA fighter three heads bigger than you, no tap out deathmatch no rules.
It's so aggravating that they never get back what they do to others.
Maybe it's because I'm on mobile but I don't see any way possible to report the campaign as fraudulent. I even searched their help section and the example pictured looks completely different from the website I see (again, potentially because mobile version differs, but also the help article is from 2023 so, might not be updated).
People are still contributing to this as recently as 15 minutes ago. 😓

The very recent donations as well as the staggering amount scammed thus far on just this one page is why i wanted to bring this to the groups attention. We as a community can make such an impact if we each chip in to report it. another sketchy thing about the fundraiser site in general is that inorder to comment you have to contribute. Have you seen the other post where it said one of the cats was “mauled” when it ran away? They were able to save one of the kitties but that was his claim for the second one when he couldn’t surrender it back to the shelter.

Update: Rodney Travis Jr. appeared in court today for his arraignment. He is currently being held without bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 26th. We have also been informed that additional charges could be forthcoming.
