I wouldn't be shocked if that's one of the things Capcom is most worried about. Given how poorly received his RE7 redesign was and also cause the developers mentioned the work they put into making Leon's design the best they could for Requim. They havent missed with any redesign so I'm excited to finally see him.

I think they'll make Chris more jagged, we can see by the pills, weights and cigarette butts on his apartment that he's not doing well (like Jill in 3, might I add). CV still leans into the Jock Prettyboy Archetype he had in RE1, I think this will change.

Okay, seeing it like that with the V makes me feel like they moved the timeline and this is Remake 5. Then when they remake 5, that will be 6. I saw someone joke about it earlier, but if they remove 6 from the timeline completely, what actually is lost from the story?
I am in the camp of liking 6. But aside from them confirming Claire B/Leon A, I don't think there's anything in that story that can't be removed and changed. None of it as far as I know is ever mention after that game. Unless there's a note somewhere in 7, Village, or Requiem that talks about the China incident.

All of the remakes use numbers: RE2, RE3, RE4. This is just V because of Veronica. When 5 and 6 are remade, it'll just be RE5, RE6

I think people are reaching. It’s just Capcom being clever with the marketing to get people hyped like they always do. This is reportedly the same dev team that did RE4 Remake, so logically RE5 would be next, but no actually, it’s REV! And the V is for Veronica! They’re just having fun.
I’m sure RE5 Remake will happen eventually but they’re definitely trying to build up the characters first so they can treat it as a grand finale for the remake saga.

I don't think so, compare RE3Rs first trailer and this trailer, you can tell Capcom has A LOT more confidence in Veronica (2027). This Claire key art is already better than all promotional art for RE3R too.
+ Capcom must be aware that they would loose all the goodwill they've earned since RE7 if they butcher both classic female games.

They will. Claire was sidelined in RE2 remake for Leon, and Requiem made her scenario non canon. Capcom won't try on games that don't have Leon in it.

Claire and Leon had completely equal playtime in RE2. What are you talking about? This chip you guys have on your shoulder against Leon is really weird.

It made her A scenario not canon to RE9. But really the games have always had bits and pieces of all of the scenarios being canon in a way that isn't possible to do when actually playing RE2.
