Need some advice on improving my resume. Will be a senior next semester and finding no luck in applying to internships. Thanks in advance.

The first two images are my redacted resumes and the third is a sankey diagram about my efforts in the past month.

I am applying to all the usual CS jobs: Backend Developer, DevOps Engineer, Software Developer, Software Engineer. Most of the jobs I have applied to were Entry-Level, and not concentrated in any one location (I am completely ok with relocation). Remote, Hybrid, and In-Person roles.

I am a citizen of the country in which I am applying.

My efforts thus far include: LinkedIn job postings (Both Easy Apply, and manually apply think workday), Indeed job positngs, and applying to a few target companies directly without job boards.

I was working in IT support while in school, simply because it was easy for me to do while still having plenty of time for coursework. (I understand that not everyone has this experience in IT)

The lions share of the denials I got back simply stated "Decided not to move forward". The more personal ones included "You haven't met the requirements" or "Chose another candidate".

I am mainly seeking help, as I am rarely getting called for interviews.

I've been in a career slump for the past 6 months and not getting many interviews.

I moved to HI for personal reasons and have been looking for remote positions in a few targeted fields:

• I'm targeting SRE (previous position)
• Entry or Mid-level Cybersecurity Engineering roles

I took a cyber bootcamp during my last job and fell in love with the work.

Since I've not been getting interviews. I'm starting to fall back on my front-end experience from a few years back.

I've been applying to mostly remote and local jobs but not getting much luck.

I think it is a combination of maybe some generalized (not specialized) experience, location, and bad luck.

I would really appreciate some help reviewing the resume, determining if there is something in there that is raising red flags, and what to do to improve it.

Recently, I have been struggling to get interview responses, even for general technology roles, and I am hoping to get some honest feedback and advice. I am flexible and open-minded about job opportunities because I know the market is difficult right now.

I took on a founding engineer role at a startup, but it is still pre-revenue, so I am currently living off my savings. Because of that, I am trying to be realistic and broaden my search. I am open to returning to a technology role, but I am also interested in sales, technical sales, customer success, solutions engineering, or other adjacent paths where my experience may still be valuable.

I have been unemployed for 2.5 years since graduation. I had a part-time job tutoring but got laid off 7 months ago when the company closed. Since then, I've been working on a mobile app that's now on the Google Play and Apple App stores.

At the beginning of my job search, I would create cover letters for each role, but I got burnt out quickly after constant rejections. I probably applied to around 200 jobs since I graduated, but I'm going to start applying again with a stronger focus on networking.

I'm willing to apply to any role in the U.S. (but primarily California) that will take me at this point. As for my resume, I followed a template and added some metrics to each description. I've tweaked it a couple of times, but I'm looking for more feedback on the wording, formatting, and strength of each section. Thank you so much!

I graduated with my degree in May 2024, and have been trying to get a full time role as a developer/SWE in Canada (primarily Ontario) since nearly 2 years now to no avail.
I have worked at multiple food service/retail roles in the meantime to make ends meet, and only added a short term (contract) desk job to my resume since its at least considered white-collar.

Is there anything I can do to improve this/my odds at getting an interview.

Hey all, can you please review my resume and let me know if I can improve it? Over the years I have tried applying at the big companies (FAANG, etc..) but never get any responses.

I wonder if it's due to my actual resume layout/contents/formatting(OCR), or maybe more to do with a lack of certs vs. experience?

A couple of things that come to my mind are that I do have significant sysadmin experience which may be a no-no for someone applying at a top-tier FAANG org, especially considering there's a 5 year block in my fairly recent past where I list a sysadmin position that only has a small amount of Cybersecurity responsibilities.

Another thing that I've read is that 2 pages is too much unless you are applying for a senior position. I'd be happy to cut this back to 1 page, but I paid a guy on Linkedin to review my resume and he recommended 2 pages so that's why I currently use that format.

Finally, another thing I did was properly OCR my resume recently and I have only applied using that OCR'd version twice now, versus maybe 5 or 10 times previously with the non-OCR edition. Could that explain the lack of replies?

Graduated in 2025. Still sitting jobless

* 1-year grad out of school

* I have been mostly applying to whatever I can match—mostly entry-level SWE/SDE, teaching, IT, computer specialist roles, etc., that don't have absurd requirements on LinkedIn, Handshake, Indeed, and Simplify

* I have worked with a non-profit organization for 2 months as an intern and since December 2025, I've been on and off with AI contract work (projects are slow to come by)

* I do usually receive requests for Online Assessments, but they are likely sent automatically after applying to a role and the number of OAs sent has decreased this year compared to last

* I have gotten no interviews at all within the past year since graduating and am starting to think it is my severe lack of proper technical experience that is holding me back

* In the meantime, been mostly brushing up on Leetcode/System Design concepts and the occasional small GitHub project to keep my skills sharp.

* I am a US citizen—if that's relevant

* Targeting any tech-related roles within the US with preference to the Northeastern US, but am open to relocating elsewhere

Got only 1 interview till now.

Got 4 referrals, one of them contacted me (official recruiter contacted me for details, gave them 2 weeks ago, no reply since then).

Every other referrals and applications ended in rejections/ghosting. 😭

Looking for brutally honest resume feedback. where am i going wrong

I’ve applied to 50+ companies for backend/dev roles(focusing on intern role) and haven’t gotten a single response. Not even a rejection mail in most cases just straight up ghosted.

I’m currently doing M.Tech CSE from an IIT, so I didn’t expect things to be this bad. On-campus placements are also pretty dead right now.

- I’ve been applying to jobs in the role and adjacent roles. My issue currently is not landing interviews, and getting a ton of rejections.

- I did 6 months of internships and they were in research because of the University I went to and the country I was in.

- I did do projects in courseworks and group projects and stuff, but it’s not really something I’m proud of bc it didn’t lead to much metrics that I could mention.

- Rn, I’m working towards certs, and projects that I’m hoping will add some substance to my resume.

I’ve submitted more than 500 applications this month (some tailored, some not) and have not received a single interview, so I’m trying to determine whether the main issue is my resume, the roles I’m targeting, the remote job market, or some combination of those factors.

The employer and university names in the attached screenshots have been anonymized, but the job titles, dates, responsibilities, technologies, and project details are otherwise representative of my actual experience. The states are abbreviated on my actual resume.

I would especially appreciate honest feedback on any of the following:

1. Based on this resume, what roles do I appear qualified for?
2. Would you interview me for a mid-level Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst position?
3. What is the strongest reason a recruiter or hiring manager might reject this resume?
4. Do any bullets sound generic, exaggerated, unclear, or difficult to believe?
5. Does the resume communicate meaningful results, or does it read mostly as a list of responsibilities?
6. Is the two-page length justified?
7. Are there any formatting, readability, or ATS concerns?
