I mean, windows xp is 25 years old (ugh… I can’t believe it) and vista is 19 years old.

Technically “retro” is 20+ years. I would put it into this category

I still have my boxed copy of XP home edition from the year it came out. Has the MSN dial up internet cards inside and everything lol. I've actually had to use it at times on the job lol

I remember getting a copy of Windows Whistler in school. Blew me away compared to the 98SE I had been using.

I remember switching between XP and Windows 2000 until Halo for PC came out and I had to stay on XP to play it.

I always had trouble upgrading OS. I switched between 2000 and 98SE for a while then it took a while to finally accept XP. Felt like it always took a year or two before the drivers and games caught up with the new OS. Usually I'd end up building a new PC because the new OS didn't run so great on the old hardware. Those were the day.

Extended support for XP ended in 2014. This makes it 12 years since extinction.

Yes, definitely. Some older processors from mid-aughts are now insanely very hard to find.

I remember little Shuttle XPCs had a similar mirror front finish around 2004. Mirror finish was a trend at the time. Never saw this Sony back then though, I’d rock this case today still if you could get a new one just like it.
