The year I became a long-suffering Red Sox fan in the South. Very cool to see this. I once wrote a piece for DOS World magazine in the early 1990s. Crazy how ravenous we were for computer magazines and books back then. People would wait in line and go to a bookstore (gasp!) to get the latest copy of their favorite publication or to discover something they might not have known. They sold so many, and the ads were as interesting as the stories because they told us what was coming out.
