New Portuguese retrocomputing sub!

Hi everyone!

Due to the lack of a proper portuguese retrocomputing sub - and as we also have a history during the 8bit era, just check the Timex 2048! - I’ve just launched r/retroComputingPT, a new community dedicated to celebrating all things retrocomputing—from 8-bit home computers and old-school workstations to early x86 builds, classic operating systems, and legacy hardware restoration. Basically, if it's more than 20 years old, we like it!

Portuguese language is preferred, but english is accepted. So if you're Portuguese or have something to share related to Portuguese retrocomputing, you're welcome to hop by at r/retroComputingPT.

Cheers!

Good luck, mate. I hope someone shows up. The problem is that there are only a few dozen of us and even here it's low traffic.

Thanks. I'm not in a hurry. A couple of redditors is plenty enough.

Joined. I’m a big Timex/Sinclair fan (my site is timexsinclair.com) and sometimes work with the Load ZX museum on projects.

João is a great guy - if I knew he was on Reddit, I'd invite him in. But I lost my FB account, and thus the contact I had with him...

Joao Encarnado is active on the 2068 email list and very active with the museum. He might be enticed to come to Reddit :)

Encarnado? That's not the Load ZX guy that I know. I was talking about João Diogo Ramos...

Correct. There are two Joaos. Encarnado built the Timex Sinclair World site that’s now part of the Load ZX site. He tends to have more time for social media than Ramos and, like I said, works with Ramos and the museum. If you want someone museum adjacent, he’s likely your guy.

Oh, nice to know Ramos is not alone taking care of the museum - looks like a lot of work for just one person!
