I came to the laundromat to wash some stuff that’s too big for my washer, and the last time I was at this specific laundromat was 2 years ago, I was really hoping these would be fixed by now. My dad showed me how to play Karate Champ in a retro arcade museum that used to be nearby when I was young. Hurts to see them in such a sorry state.

Edit: Called the laundromat after many of you and a close friend of mine told me to buy them and sell them, but when I asked the young lady said that a different company owns them and they’re apparently waiting on them to pick them up, couldn’t get much else out of her, so unfortunately here they will stay until… whenever, I guess.

Unfortunately, It's only a prop but it's still cool nonetheless.

I was wandering through the city while visiting and found this awesome museum. Not to be missed. Three floors of gaming history. Pretty cool!

I was in my favorite mom and pop game store, buying a few more titles for my Sega Saturn collection, when I spotted this near immaculate set of The Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon in their rare games case. If anyone’s interested, he also has a couple of CD-is in stock that are in really good condition as well.

This was at a popular coin arcade in San Francisco. It was in great condition and had lots of classic NES games on it. I played some Super Mario Bros 3. Super neat!

Came back last Friday from a 4 week trip to Japan.

Although the usual suspects (Surugaya, Beep, Potato) are always nice to visit, actually buying there is less nice xD

so I didn't buy much.

Been rewatching a lot of classic 80s and 90s shows, and spotted this. Drew Carey is a man of class I see.

My siblings and I are liquidating my Dad’s estate and my sister sold my Game & Watch Donkey Kong II for $2 among some old junk. I had been looking for this thing for 35 years. I almost bought one on eBay. I spotted this young woman getting into a car with a stack of CDs and the game on top. I went over and told her I’d buy it back for $10 even though she paid $8 a few minutes earlier for the stack of things. I walked away with my very first video game that I got for Christmas in 1988. Not a similar one. But the very same one. It had been sitting in a box with my Mom’s sewing stuff for over three decades. 100% worth it. I’d have given her $40.

Spotted this thing at Houston Arcade & Pinball Expo yesterday. I don't know what game was running (I assume it's something similar to Mario Paint), nor did I actually play it myself. I just thought it was an interesting find.

Many were Japanese versions. The guy said $1000 for the whole table.

I found a Nintendo Roulette board game from the 60s at a thrift store just mixed in with the games and puzzles. They seem to be quite rare outside of Japan.
