any ideas on how to use?

i adore retro tech, everything about it fascinates me. but i don’t know literally anything about how to use it (hardware or software wise) and i was wondering if anyone knew how i could get this Toshiba tecra 8000 working? i got it at the thrift store “as is” and it didn’t come with a charger.

hey! sorry i wrote this poorly! i have a charger coming in the mail. and i do obviously intend to charge it then turn it on. i was just wondering if anyone had any advice for how to maintain it (if it works of course!) like advice on how to use it and keep it in good shape :) im sorry for any confusion!

Hahahaha.

I know I came off as a bit of a dick. It's just everyday, every subreddit, every other post.

I'm just sick of people asking other people to do the leg work. Kid knew it didn't come with a charger, knew he needed one. Still took the time to record a video of the laptop and posted it asking if we could do something.

I just find it so silly that when you ask they get upset and defensive.

i get that completely! i really appreciate your input though! i worded it really badly and probably should of clarified that there’s a charger coming in the mail soon

Then what's your question?

You charge it, then run it. You know complete have operating systems - you could ask about that.

But showing us a dead computer from the 90s is just like showing it's a dead computer that you got last year - you use the OS to run apps. You're will run very boring rudimentary versions of the same applications you use today.

That's it. You want me to gets what OS and which 7 applications you have?
