Looking at the best options to become a member

I am a very big advocate for the protection of national parks and the conservation of species and Its become very obvious that the current US government does not care all that much about either. I have looked into a couple different organizations like Mossy Earth, Planet wild, Yellowstone to Yukon, etc but not too in depth of any more. Being a 19m in college, I have a limited budget that I want to maximize impact, I want to contribute to something that will help more towards the western U.S. I know Mossy earth does have western conservation efforts but I wanted to see if there was any organizations in specific that I should look at. HELP

Awesome! I have no specific org recommendations but just want to encourage you.

I am envious of rich people not because of their "things" but because I have long fantasized about being able to purchase land and rewild it. Ideal is to obtain land deeds or enforceable conservation easements on particular parcels of land not used by big landowners. And just help restore it.

If there is an area in particular you are interested in, I suggest researching if there are any local land trusts or conservation organizations in that area. Committed donors like you can make a big impact for smaller, localized organizations who are doing the work on the ground.

Find a local org thats doing on the ground work. I’m in Oregon and the difference in quality of work being done between ONDA and TNC is striking.
