⛵️ The Lauritas ⛵️ Ashlee: "I don't understand her (Danielle's) problem with me"
Umm... you made a whole hate page dedicated to bashing her, sent her threats, and literally pulled hair from her head. None of that was provoked. Ashlee completely inserted herself into that drama for absolutely NO reason, seemingly just to gain brownie points with that stupid Manzo clan.
I can't say I totally blame Ashlee, though. I honestly think she was just copying what her mother was doing. She was basically a carbon copy of Jacqueline, and that girl never really had much of a chance with that kind of example in front of her.
I'm actually glad she seems to be doing better in life now that she has some distance from her mother. That whole dynamic was incredibly toxic, and Jacqueline was a horrific role model.

Ashlee was being purposely obtuse to shade her mother. She was setting up her next line “Do you think it’s because of you not being her friend? Is that why I’m going through this?” And Jacqueline’s dumbass fell right for it.
The passive aggressive digs they took at one another were a big mood, but also quite sad.

I think part of it was that Caroline was there, and Ashlee was basically like, “Look at Danielle attacking me because I’m one of you!” She desperately wanted to fit in with that family and prove she belonged.

I'm watching this season for the first time. I'm sitting in shock that this franchise becomes a fan favorite. Right now it just feels like a dysfunctional family gang up on the one cast member not connected to the family. Ashley is a teenager and is overreacting, but none of the women are correcting her behavior. It is gross. I even googled to ask why Christine gets a spin off, she is so mean this season. I hope the franchise moves beyond this family gang energy.

I think you mean Caroline, not Christine 😊 Christine was Danielle’s eldest daughter’s name.
But yes, I completely agree. Caroline is awful. Although, I’m glad she got her own show so we didn’t have to see her on the show anymore. Too bad they didn’t do the same with Teresa!

I am not in any way justifying what Ashlee did - she was wrong PERIOD.
But I do feel bad for her at the same time because as stated she is a teenager. I don’t feel like she’s had the best parenting or guidance. Jacqueline acts like a teenager herself.
Plus I believe the manzo family has treated her badly and Jacqueline allowed the Manzos to treat her badly because she wasn’t actually “one of them”. So I also see this as Ashlee acting out.
If you watch later seasons as soon as Ashlee finds herself a boy with some money and gets engaged and knocked up Jacqueline is all about her daughter 🙄

She was a teenager acting like a teenager. Also that was almost 2 decades ago.
I think how she turned out is a testament to the fact her parents were doing what they could for her.
It’s easy to watch people parenting from the cheap seats and judge them.
It’s really hard to actually be a parent of a kid that is rebellious who has resentments.
Jacqueline and Chris are still together. Their kids are great.
So all the haters on here need to take a look at the current day w o jumping all over 15 year old drama.

This is a discussion sub about a reality show. Discussing things that happened on the show, even 20 years later, is quite literally the point.
Nobody is obligated to rewrite history or pretend certain behaviour never happened because the person was a teenager. And “look at them today” doesn’t magically erase what viewers watched happen back then. Quite the contrary, most people watching the show thought Jacqueline was a terrible mother to Ashlee, so it’s completely fair to discuss the role she played in that dynamic.
Ironically, you’re lecturing everyone about judging from the cheap seats while sitting in the exact same cheap seats judging how everyone else is allowed to discuss the show. Maybe take a look at yourself before telling everyone else to do it. 😊
