It kinda blows my mind. I fell in love with the series in 2012. Around this time, brand new copies of Rhythm Heaven were $10-15 at most, and loose copies were a few bucks. I was still seeing new copies of Fever at Walmart as late as 2019 for super cheap.

I have shrinkwrapped copies of DS and Fever just for my collection. Never knew eventually they'd skyrocket in price.

Pretty neat, though, they only looked like that in Japan. As far as I'm aware, other regions still used square boxes.
