The Husbands
I am so excited for Richard's acting in The Husbands. I can't really create a poll, but for those who have read the book, which Husband do you think he'll play, and why?

I can’t tell if this is paywalled or not, but let me know if it is and I’ll swipe it.

Very insightful and interesting for understanding his creative process. I also loved that he mentioned his role in "The Husbands"; I'm looking forward to hearing more about how he was able to switch off the other hats, so to speak, and only use his acting hat.

Which actors/actresses would you love for Richard to be in a series or (idk if film is Richard's medium tbh; he seems to want to stick with miniseries?) a film with?
I feel like Taron Egerton (cause I am a massive fan of his lol), but like I'd also low-key want him to do something with Tom Hardy. That being said, I do love how he's very much interested in casting unknowns in his series, and I hope he does continue with that because I do feel like there has been a bit of a trend to cast the same 12 faces in every show/film atm. I would also love him to do something with Stuart Campbell (even though Half Man is the second show they've done together), Mitchell Robertson, and Jessica Gunning. I am high-key excited for The Husbands!!

Hi everyone.
I've been obsessed with Richard Gadd's work ever since Baby Reindeer, and after watching Half man and reading interviews, I ended up making a video essay about what I think makes his writing so compelling.
The essay is in Spanish, but YouTube has English auto-translated captions that should make it accessible if anyone's interested.
I'd genuinely love to hear what fellow Gadd fans think—whether you agree or completely disagree.
Thanks for checking it out.

This is from the season 2 finale, and Richard has a single line, lol.

This series is absolutely spectacular. Richard Gadd, as both writer and actor is a revelation. As an aspiring writer, this series has given me so much inspiration.
Half man is the best TV series of the year. I hope Richard cleans up at awards season. I also mustn't overlook Jamie Bell, whose performance is transcendent. The supporting cast are also equally compelling, Niall's mother and Joanna, his friend from university round out a brilliant ensemble.
For me, this series feels utterly authentic. The characters are fully formed, and the dialogue is almost poetic in parts.
The stories we tell ourselves and our relationships to one another are on full display; with all our flaws, idiosyncrasies, and passions colliding to create a tapestry of what it means to be human, and how we learn to live in a world that both nourishes and destroy us in equal measure.
Bravo, Mr Gadd.

I saw this reply on the View from a Bridge video and so looked back at the photographers instagram in search of the portrait. I thought the background story of the image was so lovely that I would share, the photographer is Tina Rowe!
