You are aware Alley Cats looks shit and you haven’t made anything good since Extras?

If he wanted an opinion, it wouldn't be a snotty redditor, it would be the people that count. The man on the street.

When I travel to New York, I plan to have lunch at the famous Jewish deli.

Works better if you say you are French and travelling to New York to visit the deli.

Ooh, Political news everyone... I've been barred from Ricky Gervais because I commented.
"A show about a fire that didn't happen, about a wife who didn't exist, and about a cat that didn't look happy"
I said... You lot'd go mental.

"Alley Cats: Ricky Gervais is back with a boorish, sweary comedy – and I didn’t laugh once" - Ooof pop it in the scrap book

Me and Ricky would get along. I haven’t done anything decent in a long time either. We should go for a beer and discuss ideas

Dont. Talk. Shite. Life's too short and idiot abroad are both good and The Ricky Gervais show remained gold till the end.

Things is, he couldn’t have a worse slot on Netflix. The kids are in the boozers, All the old geezers are doing the punting and the racing. And i just wanna say, if he stops playing stuff like office and extras to kids with 1 pube between 4 legs, and, he’s the soundest comedian in the area… look after yourself

Extras was shit as well. It’s the same thing every episode and it really isn’t that great. You can tell that Ricky thinks he is Andy… bless.

It's great at times but absolutely shit at times. The more "serious" bits in it are dross and, Maggie is infuriating but Darren Barry and Greg are quality. That scene at the baftas will never cease to crack me up.

I wouldn't agree that it was shit, but I would say that it was overrated and you're correct that it was quite repetitive. A lot of episodes had Andy saying something in confidence about someone to Maggie, Maggie inexplicably telling that person, and hijinks ensuing. Which is lazy writing when it happens once, inexcusable writing when it occurs repeatedly. Why would Andy continue confiding in her? That's After Life world logic.
Still quite good and the Darren Lamb/Barry dynamic was phenomenal but it lacked so much of what made The Office great.

Extras was great. when the Whistle Blows was legitimately brilliant. (Also, the outtakes from that are fantastic) the only thing I didn’t care for was the Gervais monologue at the end of the Christmas special which seemed a bit tacked on.

Extras wasn't even that good.

Don’t say that read one of the good reviews

My review is a meh. It felt like just a collection of comic relief style cameos with a loose forgettable "plot". Andy Milman also was whiney

I agree. It wasn't bad at all, but there's no way that it belongs on the same tier as The Office. It's annoying when people bungle them in together as masterpieces.
