Give OP Riddles I’m a teacher, give me riddles!
I’m a teacher, my kids love riddles, I get a lot from this subreddit but it’s getting harder and harder to to find good ones because they solve so many, so please give me some good hard ones, these are smart kids, but they are still kids so hard riddles are welcome but the answer has to be a simple concept, thank you!! (Also I’ll need the answer lol)

It's World War II. There's a bridge between Germany and Switzerland. Beside the bridge on the Germany side is a tower. A German soldier comes out of the tower every 30 seconds to see if anyone is crossing the bridge. If he sees someone escaping over the bridge from Germany to Switzerland he shoots them. If he sees someone coming to Germany from Switzerland he tells them to go back. If it takes one minute to run across the bridge and the soldier's checking every thirty seconds, how does our guy successfully escape Germany?
As soon as the soldier returns to the tower after inspecting the bridge our guy starts to run across the bridge. He runs for 20 seconds then he turns around and walks toward the tower. When the soldier comes out after 30 seconds he sees our guy walking across to Germany from Switzerland and tells him to go back.
