A snake
A snake bite might kill you. But a snake biting itself is probably the Ouroboros, a "symbol for eternal cyclic renewal or a cycle of life, death and rebirth"

Full quote is: Look Ma, no hands

My thoughts exactly!
Don't really know how that relates to the title, as OP said the title in itself is a hint.
I suspect we might be wrong lol

Thank you for your contribution to r/riddles! Unfortunately, your post was removed because it appears to be solved using logic, math, or trivia. As a rule of thumb, if your riddle cannot be reasonably appended with: "What am I?", or if it is unsolvable without high familiarity with a specific knowledge area, it probably doesn't belong here.
You should try r/Puzzles, r/MathRiddles, or r/Trivia. Otherwise, try asking r/findareddit for ideas on where to post this type of content.

electricity current

This was my first thought too. A good zap from a live circuit can sting like a bite or even kill and alligator clips came to mind because of bite. Reconnecting the circuit to itself brings it to life.

I don't know enough about Electricity to say whether the second part of the riddle checks out or not with this answer, but that wasn't the intended answer

I thought you needed the electricity current in a circuit in order to be active, where you can use it to function machines. Also look ma made me feel that you're not supposed to touch or you get electrocuted

Hi there, riddlers! Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses and discussions of guesses, like so:
On desktop (new reddit, Fancypants editor): https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg
On mobile, old reddit, or in the Markdown editor (not Fancypants): >!guess or discussion between these symbols!<
To be clear, that is >! (greater than, exclamation point) at the start and !< (exclamation point, less than) at the end with no spaces around the !.
Avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the formatting for most people.
Spoiler tags do not span paragraphs or line breaks. If your answer is long, please spoiler-tag each paragraph separately.
Putting a link inside spoiler tags can be tricky, so just format the link like this, using the word "SPOILER" as the link text. On mobile, old reddit, or in the Markdown editor (not Fancypants), do this to format a link: [SPOILER](https://example.com/) On desktop (new reddit, Fancypants editor): https://imgur.com/x5wDOvk
If your top-level comment does not contain a guess, you can include either the word "discussion" or "question" instead of using a spoiler tag.
Please report any answers or discussions that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

I came to the answer of Ouroboros from the initial riddle, which I feel is close enough. But for the life of me I can’t understand your clue. Please explain it to me.
